am confused is this going to be abandoned? did it get a reboot? or was there new content?

The game has undergone change of the engine which sort of stopped updates for a while the existing content got ported to this new engine. It had a couple of updates since that what finished, and i think there's still going to receive some further updates that are being worked on.

just went past on the dandy boy adventures thread, only to find out it was abandoned.
I started losing hope on this one after looking it up lmao

I still wish to see this project finished one day, but it's honestly difficult to keep the passion of interest alive for so long before moving on to the next shiny thing that catches our attention, this goes for both as a developer and as a consumer.

That's completely understandable, but you'll come back anyway because you'll look at the other new games, you'll see games with AI-generated CG, videos, none of which will have any soul or interest.

And you'll think back to the games that creators like me work their asses off to make (and I'm far from being the only one), doing things right and getting pirated 93% of the time, and you'll finally say it wasn't so bad.

I use this game as an example of perfect release approach all the time.

Typically you get one maintenance release and one content release with one of the characters full story release.
Yasuka, Noriko (main girls!!!) Asami her mom, all got full content release (Yasuka is still missing an anal scene but still we got the full story arc leading to sex).

There are some amazing games out there, but they milk main girls until the end. Meaning you don't get to have sex with them until the very last update. That's infuriating.

Yes I will say that 2025 was not the best year for Goodbye Eternity, still appreciate what we got.

PS:
I was recently playing a very well made game 5-6 hours in. The story started to wrap up, finally you are setting up a date with the main love interest and it is leading to sex (finally). All of the sudden we meet three new girls and started to spend time with them, another hour (I was skipping at this point) got sex with all 3, ok, but the moment it circled back to the main girl... wait for the update... Like what the hell is this!!!

RNGeusEX - thank you for an amazing game, hopefully 2026 will go smother.
Lets hope we will have less delays and technical issues.
Communication is very important, and we all have to be patient in the process.
