does this game ever open up? at the point im at, which i assume is still very early, there doesnt seem to be any reason for this to be a game. So far im not exploring the game at my own pace, or engaging with any gameplay mechanics, im just being railroaded along a very linear path with the only real gameplay being route decisions. Hell even the money seems to be purely to continue the story rather than having anything you can buy yourself.

I really think this would be better served as a linear VN with route choices, since thats what it boils down to anyway. Having to click on locations and objects is frivolous when the "game" part of this experience is completely empty. I know a lot of games are sort of similar to this, but the good ones tend to have a small package of gameplay mechanics to flesh things out and some optional content to spend money on for example.

Well, the game has been moved to a new engine, which means the patch doesn't work for new version.
I'll try to make the patch work, but I'm 99.999% sure I will fail.
If anyone can transfer the patch to the new engine, feel free to do so.

But it seems like the dev has always wanted to do it, why else open so much possible ntr scenarios and teasings, seems like he wanted it but didnt do it cuz fear of backlash, he left it open as possibility and now he wants to do it.

The current outcry is caused by potential introduction of it despite all those earlier statements, with justification that "it's technically not NTR". Which, given the dev's track history with "technical definition of femdom" makes those concerns quite reasonable, and the earlier statements not really worth much.
