Unity is good for real game mechanics unless you have a robust system to rollback or have mechanisms in place for skiping scenes, dialogues and so on (I saw some games on Godot that had that). The whole game could be easily done in RenPy without losing anything important really. Plus it also forces that useless window with resolutions and graphics (in my case it offered only one and it covered the full screen thus windowed / fullscreen option did not work properly).Could you explain that further? What was the problem and which engine would be better for what?
Thanks.
It is like RPG Maker games that just create artifical barriers in order to force a player to waste time to create an illusion of content. Baiscally padding. Very annoying.
The game suffers from annoying things like very slooow dialogues, unskippable scenes, slow animations and the need to go from one place to another. The scenes and the whole corruption stuff was amazing though. Really enjoyed it.
