I actually enjoyed the first way more than the second, but I never really get into the "wholesome headpat simulator" type of HRPGs that a lot of other users here really enjoy (and fair enough, to each their own!). It's just not really my thing, and I honestly found the second game quite dull compared to the first but I do tend to enjoy HRPGs with "darker" undertones.
- Gran Ende 1 was a mostly depraved slow burn corruption game with a female protagonist who starts off prudish and ends up boning the entire town.
- Gran Ende 2 was a mostly wholesome headpat simulator with a good guy male protagonist who just wanted to take care of the girls around him.
- Gran Ende 3 looks like it will be a mostly depraved slow burn corruption game with two female protagonists who start off prudish and end up boning the entire town.
It's interesting that the developers have flip flopped between genres every time they've released a sequel to this franchise. Wonder if the second game didn't sell as well or something?
IN SUMMARY: If you liked the first Gran Ende but didn't care for the second, I have a feeling you will enjoy this third installment.
I played the Japanese version a while back. It's definitely one of the better Japanese H-RPGs to be released in a long while. You get a lot of choices with the content (and aren't forced into any of it, iirc), a lot of the events 'evolve' as you progress through them, and some of the events even give you a choice as to what you want to do (e.g. handjob, blowjob, sex). Also, most of the events have repeatable versions rather than being the usual 'one and done' type events that most of these games do.
The game's biggest problem is that you can see all the sexual content by about the game's midway point. Which means you then have another hour or two of dungeon crawling and cutscenes without any new porn events to look forward to or break up the main plot progression. I kept hoping the developer would update the game with more events for the second half to help with the pacing but it's been months and from the looks of it they're working on their next game instead.

Hell yes the third game of the series finally got translated and came out, the first one was alright and the second one was the best of the series so let see how this one be like. Really hope it would be a good successor

I rewrote every line, thats what I meant with manual tranlation.
If I didn't do it like that, I would've written "edited MTL".

I saw the high ratings on dlsite but not sure what the hype is about.
The art looks average, and the gameplay looks average too.

Well, thanks for your efforts at least. While I see a great many of mistakes and various misspells, it seems better than unedited mtl. Not sure how far it is from the original in terms of the preserved meaning, it all depends on the source itself and what translation is used as a reference. The previous Gran Ende's have been solid RPG's if you ignore the hentai. The hentai is diverse and comes at a good pace. You're not flooded with sluttism and you're not playing for days before you see any. They are solid games.
I found the first game to be underwhelming as far as corruption goes, since the payoff wasn't all that satisfying, the character still acts like she don't want the dick, I hope this game is better in that regard.
