Hey, I finished up playing .68 a realized that there was a .69/.70 patch-update. However, I'm unsure what to do with the update. Tried opening just the update and loading my last save = crash. Tried to merge it with the .68 version and load save = crash. Tried both of the above and starting a save = crash.
Yeah...It Crashes because 0.68 was the end of Part 4...Didn't you read the BIG FAT "SAVE NOW" Screen at the end of 0.68 if you played it until the end? It says to SAVE NOW and continue in Part 5 so download 0.70 and if you SAVED on the SAVE NOW Screen you can continue playing, if you need a more detailed How-to the User FatGiant has one in his Signature. :)

I realize it's probably only a smallish update to the current full version as it's only 13% of the file size as the current full releases but can't figure out what exactly to do with the update and it doesn't have install instructions inside the compressed file.
You need to think of patch .69/.70 as Part 5. Just Install .70 in it's own folder like you did with the previous parts. The Save at the end of Part 4 when it says Save Now! should work in .70.
Satou beat me to it.

Okay, So at the end of every other part there is a big black screen that says "Save now" however, at the end of part 4, it shows the MC laying on a bed with "zzzz" as the last screen. Advancing to the next screen says "You have reached the end of this part, roll back now and save" so I saved it on the screen with the MC sleeping. There was no black screen with "Save Now" on it like the previous parts did. Should I be saving the the screen that says "You have reached the end"?

Here's what the end of Part 4 does for me.

If the screen that says "zzz" is not this one:
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
Then you have an incomplete version of Part 4. Download it again from OP and continue to the end.

Redownloading now. Thanks for the help. I will post and let you guys know the outcome. I thought it weird that it didn't have the normal "Save Now" screen. No idea what happened but I really appreciate the help. I've been around the forum for a while but never posted before so I really appreciate someone taking the time to respond.

People here (this thread) are generally pretty helpful. Particularly when you ask in a decent way, as you did, instead of blaming the game for user error.

That seemed to work. however, it seems that I am evidently missing content from before my save because the next scene, from the dialog, seem to be referring to a scene that I haven't seen before. I'm going to go replay part 4. Just out of curiosity. Is there a mod/walkthrough for .70 out?

I understand that these Visual Novels are developed by a handful of people that are putting in their best effort to make as good a game as possible. I would never blame them for anything even if it were to be their fault somehow. It seems to be people who feel entitled that would ever blame the developers (or unless someone is trying to charge a crap load of money for a buggy piece of software that gets rushed through development or is generally just a bad/misrepresented game *coughubisoftcough*)

Nevermind. I found koga3's page for it.

Just one guy on this, the rest of us are just going along for the ride ;)

And if those don't work we have this 1 to fall back on. View attachment 4418767
Always good advice! ;)

Actually you will find comparatively few visual novels developed by more than two people. Most of them are entirely solo developed, just like GH here. Given just how simple the coding language is for Ren'Py and how relatively easy it is to work with Daz3D, you just don't need more than one, maybe two people working on a VN.
