While I mostly agree, there is a VERY worrying issue arising from AI generated video. It is being used to create massive amounts of ********** out of very innocent images. Some may defend the practice by claiming that no child was hurt, but, the fact remains that those same children can be seen performing acts that will haunt them for life. So, there is real damage done.I've seen some posts on another forum in which users are using AI to animate images from VNs and 3D porn comics and I've been pretty impressed with what they've accomplished. Considering some of the janky, robotic animations a lot of VNs feature, I'm starting to think that AI-assisted animations are absolutely an improvement. Personally, I think within a few years, a plurality (if not a majority) of devs will be using AI for animations. The tech is improving fast and I think it's inevitable at this point.
Some people lump all AI together and I think that's a mistake. AI as a tool versus AI as a creative engine are two different things. A lot of the pure-AI VNs are regurgitated slop and easy to pick out. AI is like a human centipede of creativity. It can't innovate, only regurgitate. That said, using it to streamline and enhance existing CG, especially when creating lewd animations, will be a game changer. Simulating natural human movements is very difficult to do manually. AI greatly simplifies that process and will become, I believe, the standard over the next couple of years.
Sure, the tech must be separated from it's bad uses, but, it is an extremely dangerous way for tech to go.
Most people can't really see the problem, I understand it. Just imagine receiving a video of you or your wife raping one of your children. Worse, have it be part of a divorce lawsuit. Maybe then you can relate to what I am talking about.
