But, what baffles me the most, is why? Why try to jump to the end? To see if they like it? Wouldn't that be better to do on the First part? Do they think this is a race and the first to get to the latest content wins? I don't get it. I really don't. What is there to gain by doing this?

I would really like to understand.

Well, in this case, it seems the poor bloke just suffered a corrupted or otherwise broken save file, so in that very specific case, I absolutely get it. And with a game as awesomely chunky as this one, replaying the whole thing from the start when you were halfway through part 6 before your save went fucky, well... That can get...tiresome, let's just say.

Hmmm... anyone that was playing Part 6, has the Part 5 starter save. 10 mins later they have the needed save for Part 6 to start. And 10 minutes is an exaggerated amount of time. With CTRL, Tab and Right-Click Skip, it is a breeze.

So, no. I STILL don't get it. Also, I don't buy that excuse anymore. Not after so many years of this, it's too many corrupted or broken saves.

Call me insensitive, but, no, not anymore.

No offense, friend, but did you read all of what I wrote in my "original" post? I specifically mentioned the exact things you said: Reload an earlier save, right-click the skip button, and presto! All caught up.

I did.

Mal, I didn't reply to the beggar because they feel attacked, delete their begging post and report me so my reply gets deleted and their shame is hidden. You may not believe me, but this has happened more than a 100 times this year alone.

When I say that I don't believe it anymore, I do have my reasons. Sorry for using your posts as a safe-harbor. For the message to survive and be read, I couldn't address them.

It be cool if developer start making another game and take a break from Grandma house. (Maybe after Amy sex scene), even better if he ends grandma house by the next year. Then maybe Return with Grandma house 2 alongside another new game. Since, the game is becoming boring and he is pretty skilled and consistent updater but there are way too many characters currently and little plot. Maybe he can make another game with fantasy element or Urban element. Maybe gangster games since we are lacking a lot. Nonetheless I had this idea after playing the grandma house college edition, which was fresh.

Ok... downloaded part 1 because I wanted to try it from start (...again), then got part 2, loaded the save file, but I'm still in the menu. And can't play. Any help here?

So, you save at the SAVE NOW! screen, not before, not after?

PC? Mac? Android?

Asking an artist to split their focus feels like it would result in more negatives than positives.

although, Moonbox has proven they can work on projects on the DL and then release them without a hitch in GH production... so, if any dev could...

that said, lets get this one in the bag before we get ahead of ourselves here.

(way to stick to you guns, sincerely. This place can be mean if you dont have thick skin or a silly attitude.)
