the thing is so many people are like me waiting for a whole game, for those who lost the save just dont want to play 6 different games and donwload it all to play
You might be waiting in vain ...
Each part of the game is just that -- part of the whole. So by waiting for the whole game, you're probably still going to have to play each part one at a time.
But they're not all made with the same nuts and bolts, so they're not all compatible with each other. That means merging them into one file isn't as simple as just slicing the code and splicing it together like an old film. And Moon hasn't shown any interest in doing the work to put them all together.
But even with all that said, do you thing a merged game is going to be significantly smaller than the individual parts? The vast majority of the data is in the images. Merging them might save a gig or two overall, but the current game is over 25 gigs across all the parts. If you don't have the space to keep the older versions of the games (which would be the only reason you have to redownload them to play them again) how are you going to download the entirety of the final game when it's between 35 and 40 gigs -- or even bigger?
I'll never understand this argument.
