The only reasonable explanation I can think of is that she's afraid to be kidnapped at that point, but that's about it.
That kinda makes sense I guess, but still.. a bit of a stretch. But yeah I complain too much about this game, the story is... well I should probably keep my mouth shut. But hey, it's kinda enjoyable at least, I guess.

This game really should be played for the humor, the fetishes, the hot sex scenes and the beautiful women. If you want to play a game with a well-written story by this dev, you should play A Soldier's Struggle.

Shizuka's like a humanized, horny version of Molly. And yes, she not only -did- go through a lot in her formative years, but she came from a different culture entirely. Her personality is just about as meek and insecure as you can possibly imagine, and she's come a long way with some of it already. I find her reactions to a lot of things in the game unique, but she stays true to character.
