Tbh I thought this would happen too (before I finished part 1), but so much time has passed, so my doubts are pretty much my answer.

She's not actually present, unless there was a girl briefly shown somewhere, but she "supposedly" died in the crash, but he said they couldn't identify her or some shit, but they did indentify his parents.. so idk I might be wrong but it seems to be heading that way

That's irl time lol I meant game time logic, he was so young when his family died. So, unless she ended up floating at sea and lost her memory, I just don't see how she could have survived that crash after all this time. I think the MC even said his parents were protecting his sister with their bodies when they recovered them.

But then why go out of your way to mention they couldn't identify her remains, but they did identify the parents' bodies? What does that add?

The possibility to add her in the future. However Moonbox has said later that the sister really has died in that crash.
Then again, I've read that it wouldn't be the first time MB changed his mind about something again later on :KEK:

For now we can only hope that Moonbox will change his mind about this as well, because even with everything Thomas can do, he isn't a necromancer :cry:
