To be fair, Booster Gear is more of a curse than a Pro for someone like Issei as he was a civilian without perks or links to Supernatural. In a life without Ddraig he would have a happy life doing shit with friends, he had pretty nice life and considering Irina he probably would have ended with her without dealing with supernatural bullshit.
At least until his relation with Irina get him killed/kidnapped as being a muggle + supernatural gf = dead or worse.

Not quite, if he were normal he would likely not get targeted by Raynere, so he would survive. Would he ever get an harem or even a girlfriend. Doubtful since i suspect Irina would die in the kokabiel fiasco.
