That's exactly what it was. I commented on it previously with no form of malice and the post was deleted. It's just a simple fact that releasing an update with just one sex scene isn't enough to appease people that are donating to their patreon or they'll eventually get tired of it and stop donating.

Indeed, I also do a double take to remember wtf happened last, updates are not exactly frequent, especially when you consider the amount of content is so little, I honestly

Well, maybe there isn't and it's all just a prelude, warmup, building the characters just enough to be perceived as more than a sex doll. I just enjoyed the scenes anyway. Different strokes for different folks they say...
Whatever, the scene itself was done nicely. It's not like the dev didn't put any work into it.
It's just the matter of what the time and effort have been invested into. Some devs naturally gravitate more towards the story side, some other devs naturally gravitate towards the visuals \ sex scene details side. Hard to have everything of the highest quality and to satisfy everyone's tastes, given the limited time and resources at the disposal.

As for the NTR stuff, I won't spoil much but there is indeed Netori or even cucking as the MC is seen fucking a woman in front of her husband. This is initially shown as a very short flashforward in the very first scene of the game, and later on we get to know why and see an extended version of that scene in the present. The game's story is a mess right now, so we can't really tell what will become of that path, but according to another character's plans the MC will be involved in more Netori in the future.

The girls are already depicted as sex dolls who jump at the MC from day 1 (or 2 in some cases). That was my biggest letdown after the first couple of releases, when I had super high expectations for this game.
That has nothing to do with the way the story is being developed in fits and starts. It is just weird.
This game should gravitate towards the story, but right now it's a mess.
And also, an entire updated devoted to a secondary character like that is absurd. If the dev has to choose because of limited time and resources, I dare say his choice wasn't the best one.
Also, I remember the time when getting "more support so we can make updates faster" was a promise. They already got more support than they even anticipated at that time, and look what it has come to.

I wouldn't even go as far as calling the scene Netori since it's not like the MC is stealing her or acting malicious toward the husband in any way. The husband is aware of the arrangement and they're "trying something new", so it's just pre-arranged cuck play with all parties on board. If anything it subverts the play a little bit in that scene with the husband's banter over MC's...eh...sudden drop in enthusiasm...Try not to think too much about the pegging

Why it should though? If dev likes creating the sex scenes more than building the story around it. No one promised a rich story, it's even noted on the first page:

But yeah, from the husband's point of view it could be NTS, but from the MC's POV we're fucking another man's wife. It would be confusing to tell new players that there is Netorase in this game because they would immediately assume it's the MC sharing his girls.

Because this game presented certain story elements in the very first releases that seemed to imply it was going to be a story-heavy VN, and let's not spoil the details for those who haven't played yet. If you played this game, I think I don't have to explain why this wasn't supposed to be your run-of-the-mill college or family fuckfest.
It had the appearance of being something more elaborate, but right now it feels shallow as hell.

Yeah, but the dev may realize about himself after 2-3 years that he doesn't really like story creation, or vice versa - he doesn't like tinkering with characters models positioning and rendering. I've seen both such cases, both types may even abandon the development altogether but continue with delivering the story scripts or renders, yet without the other component.
My point is, nothing can be done to change it anyway, the devs gotta do as they wish.
