I've just noticed that I've somehow missed scenes 36, 37 and 38 in the storylines menu. Can anyone point me to what I missed to unlock these?

I'm noticing a trend over the last few months of many games releasing much smaller updates. I am betting that it is an attempt to keep Patrons subscribing more, over the long term, rather than the spikes when updates get released, followed by people un-subscribing right after.

Sadly, IMO, this really affects the quality of these games. The Devs spend so much time packaging updates, and pushing them out, that they start to lose focus on the overall story.

Randos, above, mentions that, by measure of this dev's Patreon page, the game is successful and making them some nice coin. But I would argue that, while the short term gains are good, the game, as a whole, is suffering. Look at Light of my Life, as a perfect counterpoint. Naughtyroads takes 10-12 months to finish an update. But he has more than twice as many Patrons, and is probably making four times the income, what with the subscribestar, itch and - very huge - the introduction onto Steam.

These are both good games. But the way I look at it is this... in this game, I get spoonfuls of content that, while tasty, leave me hungry for more. Waiting for the next tiny portion soon gets frustrating and eventually, I just walk away and shelve this until several updates have gone by. While, with LoML, I know the next update is still several months away - but when it launches, I will plan a whole evening to sit down and enjoy the story. I know I will be happy and satisfied after completing it.

There's a reason authors don't release books, chapter by chapter. Why we have to wait a year or more for sequels. After all, with ebooks, they can release anytime now. But authors want people to appreciate their stories, as well as make money off them. So they finish the books, get them proofed and edited and then release them to the public.

Just my 2 cents. I still like this game, but I would rather wait a month or three for a really good update, then be spoonfed these dribbles every few weeks.

You're partly right, but it all has its pros and cons.

In games where you have to wait forever, albeit for major updates, it's easier for you to forget large parts of the story than when you're reminded of it "spoonful" every few weeks.

Certainly the updates here are pretty short, but they come regularly and quite often.
Ultimately I don't care, so you have a game in your list that you can play every few weeks, even if only for a few minutes.

Same for me. I prefer regular, more often updates then the only 1-2 per year ones. Actually I already havn't played many of these "big" games anymore because of that. For me the somehow needed game replay to remember the story and characters again every update is getting kinda boring to me. But that's of course a personal liking, others may want it the other way - and they can even here, they only have to skip some updates.

Well, it's all a personal preference, of course. I play these games like I watch TV... I can't stand short, episodic TV, unless it's designed to be like that. For example, sitcoms, or shows like the Madalorian, which have a complete story packed into 40 intense minutes - I like those. But soaps and some mini-series, that seem to leave you hanging a lot... I don't like watching them as they get released. I guess that's why I "cut the cable" over a decade ago. I watch TV online only now. And I save episodes and binge watch them at my leisure.

The problem with these games that pump out super fast updates, IMO anyhow, is they don't usually have a proper structure. I thinik a lot of these new devs could use some lessons in writing and making screenplays. Also, because of the way these VN's use point variables and story forks, you start to lose track of your direction, from update to update. And then the devs change things and you can't even use your save points in some versions. I'm not saying this game is that bad, it's not! But that seems to be a common trend on here.

I'll probably play this update this weekend, just because the previous version is still fresh in my mind and - of course! that damn cliffhanger, lol - but today, I cleaned up my game folder and I found I had over 400 GB's of games that kept getting small updates and that I was keeping archived. I was wondering why my drive space was shrinking, lol!

Today was the first time I played it, and I have to say that I got involved. The story is good, it's nice to get to know it.
The heroines are pretty, and just wait for more action.

Exactly, action. The scenes have very nice animations, but they are short, "ok let's have all today's sex in one position" that's a bit poor, looking at what it looks like, I would like to see a little more of it.

Well, personally, I count on a lot of scenes in my underwear as from a banner (͡ ° ͜ʖ ͡ °) but this is my personal deviation.

You have to understand that the adult game industry is purely independent and relies on donations, I have no issues with that but what tends to happen is that the devs stretch their games either by giving their donators small consecutive updates, good updates but selective content which rarely includes popular characters and adds random characters to fill the void or they are just repetitive. Unfortunately this leads to messy storylines. This is because if they complete the game or VN they have to make new or modify assets, storyline, characters...etc. Games or VN's that should leisurely take a few months to complete, takes years, this means from one popular single project a dev can actually make hundreds of thousands of dollars.
I agree, a dev could finish up a game and make a new one in the timespan it takes most games here to finish up, they're probably afraid a new IP could lose them potential patreons, but most adult game patreons support a developer, not an individual project.

since you read my previous post, you are aware that im comparing a post about this game (guilty pleasure) from a player with response from another players from the same game. but you are comparing an apple to an orange. i dont think i need to answer your whole argument which actually just a personal preference. for example, youre talking about (e)book (another fruit) while i could talk about manga, manhua/manhwa and light novel that released per chapter.

this is a quote from Light of My Life:

Note from moderators: Look at sample pics provided.
If it's not your thing, please don't comment about it. We will delete those comments.
Also, time between updates is long, but updates are huge.
have you seen similar notification above on this game, no? if it's not their thing, will they support the game?

here is my (or your) 2 cents
Well, it's all a personal preference, of course.

This is a bad example because Light of my Life started in 2019 where the market wasn't anywhere as crowded as now. By the time Guilty Pleasure started around end of 2020, the market was significantly more crowded. If Light of my Life started around the same time and took 10-12 months to finish an update, there is zero doubt that the number of patrons would be much lower.

You are kinda making my argument for me... The fact that those same people are still Patrons, almost 3 years later, despite the long interval, argues that quality > quantity, with all else being equal. And again, my intent is not to take away from this game. I like this game and it was one of the first I got into, when I joined F95 last year. I'm just unhappy with the current trend of speedy updates that are not really substantive.

Well, for me it's actually the other way around - my games I'm watching are taking more and more time for the updates. Most of them started also with monthly releases, but having now already 3-4 months. There are very rare ones (like this one here) which still have constant cycles.

Also it's way harder for a new game to get patrons than for a now well known to keep them. It also seems that in the last 1-2 years it has become hard for new devs to gain some. I think that was way easier a few years back then compared with now.

No.... you have a short sex sceen with older sister and then right back to Little sister again. Seems the two youngest girls is all this dev wants to spend time on.
Ok i'll gladly admit that the game has been online for a "long" time now, but please allow me to ask what has been unexpected that you CAN NOT "bang" mom at the current time?
Did any of the previous updates go in that direction?

Regarding "Light of my life".

To be honest, I don't know if you can / should this compares to any other game.

It's really unique, it really stands out from the crowd, both for the way of the renderings/models and the art of telling the story.

so far the whole game has been about MC and Little sister and MC and the girl he is tutoring. This update MC finally has accidental sex with older sister. Short and quick and then right back to little sister again. I just don't get why all the Dev seen to spend so much time on the Younger girls in their games instead of the MILFs . 1 of the top porn searches is MILFs not little girls.

I do like a good game with a light story. Great job, dev!

Now, the cons. Animation is very, i don't know how say that cause english is not my first language, but, it's like "rusty". But the experience you will get with time will make you better and bring you more suporters, i know it. I'm in this forum for some years now and already have saw it many times. Not a big deal right now, take your time. Another thing is the progress with the blondie. It feels so rushed. I know it's a porn game and ppl wanna see tits and yada yada, but, trust a veteran in this forum, many game have tits, but the ones with good story are the best and ppl will follow you in your written adventure. You just have the ask to the veterans what's they favorite game. Everyone will say Action Leassons. A game you start for the fap and end in tears. A classic!

Well, i normaly don't write that much, cause, you k'now, i speak broken english, but your game have great potential. Keep the good work while get experience and you become one of the best in this forum. Thanks for the game.

The last time I played this game was 10 months ago. Only 32 acts were added in that time, or around 90 minutes of play. My only complaint in this is that the sex scenes end to abruptly. You finally get to do something, then boom it is over. Guess I will wait another 10 months to actually feel like I am playing a game.
