I've put the save file in this spot but when i open the game i keep getting empty save locations. What am i doing wrong?

i see sooo much wrong here
1. the overall overworld and HUD looks like a fucking mobile game.
2. steam screenshots show this is a puzzle game but also a match 3 game?
3. steam has it marked as visual novel
4. the animations look like your average single digit frame puzzle animation of girls just bouncing up and down a bit

i will give this a try but i expect this to be a 2* review at best

The gameplay is aweful, it relies on shop items or being overpowered enough to ignore them because removing enemy skill tiles is 90% of the time impossible. Blocks 3 of your dmg hits? Too bad that getting it to the bottom requires more then 3 turns! Spawn 3 poison tiles that deal %max hp dmg for 3 turns? Impossible to clear and 2 turns later he will spawn new ones anyway so you just maximize dmg! A tile that removes all colours? Nice, it is just there to annoy you because turns dont have time limit!
I haven´t played a match 3 game worse then this.

am I the only one who has trouble recouping hp? I have 80 gold and as far as I know no way to recoup hp, I can attack a monster, it kills me, I spawn back with "10% hp" attack a mob, it kills me, rinse and repeat? do I literally need to start over and not spend my gold on skills?

This is a over-produced POS game, where the developer put in a lot of resources but missed the mark on making anything decent. First off this is a match 3+ game with some interesting addons. Then it is a 'sex' game where there are some sex scenes in the game but they are the type were you have the progressive events where you press the button to progress to the next portion of the scene and press a different button to go back. It is voiced in this badly made game, as well. So we have some events with dialog but there is no dialog in the sex scenes which makes it pretty bad. Finally you have a bunch of grinding to do to make it possible to progress, but the grinding is a bunch of boring autobattles that you have no control over. I give this game a 3/5 for great graphics but very bad gameplay/execution of the game.

First off my last post was a great deal of irritation on this how there seems to be a lot of poor design choices here. For those having trouble healing it took me a while to figure that out. The west village tavern has 3 options. The first 1k option provides a random 10 battle boost usually. The 2k option heals you up for more auto battles. The 3k option is a taste of the types of sex scenes in this game. On the right side of the screen you have 4 buttons that are gameplay. The star is where you should be spending most of your cash specifically on gem attributes. Look on the right side of the gems screen and you told what your autobattle damage is and how to increase it. Basically if you want to spend time on this game you should be focusing on the top 5 gems until you actually gain some skills to use. Also you should upgrade your status on the second tab of the star button. The treasure chest allows you to buy some expensive potions that you should probably ignore for the most part until late game. The book button allows you to revisit the different chapter dialogs but not the battles. The 4th button tells you about the heroines and allows you to access their h-scenes. Use the wheel of fortune at 1k to get some decent cheep items instead of buying them. I would only use the buy option to get the 300 hp potions when trying to beat the spider queen. Otherwise they are not worth it.
