Wow. Been a looooooooong time since I played this game on New Grounds I think or was it am Game site. I can not remember.
Gotta agree that saying a porn game reminds you of your childhood is kinda messed up, because if these people started fapping to porn at such an early age they most likely have a porn addiction by now. However, only one or two people said they played this during their childhood, everyone else only said they played it a long time ago, myself included, we didn't say we were children back then.

Don't be misled by the 2.0, it was originally meant as the successor, but it got scrapped for the exploitative model they went with afterwards, which resulted in the slow, buggy mess we have today. I personally enjoyed the simpler game and smaller scope of the previous one.
And why do I have 2 versions of Anne's game? They have different stuff between them (positions, looks, etc.)

I swear there was another of these games called "The Room" or something like that where you're in a penthouse and there's a polar bear girl and I think a cougar or mountain lion. There was also a parrot chick and a collie in a hot tub. It came out a few years after the original, but before the whole online game. Anyone else know what I'm talking about?
You could always just...not click on it, ya know? The site does have preview images and tags so you know what it's about.

I've been playing HTH games since the first one popped up in newgrounds all those years ago and to be honest I've always felt like they've gone downhill since. They had too many things they wanted to do, and it was a never ending process of updating and rebooting the art and the game layout and everything in between that apparently hasn't stopped yet. Also call me insane, but I still like the artwork from the first game better than what they've got going on now. The first one had this simple and basic artwork befitting of an early 2000 flash game, the new style looks this simple and basic artwork befitting of a late 2000 flash game, with shines and shadows and stuff as to kind of hide that they still make the boobs with the "circle" tool in whatever software they use. It sometimes makes the characters look like plastic, like literal moving blow up dolls. Still, the animation did get a lot better in a lot of places, so it's kind of a mixed feeling... I dunno man, it's just my taste, maybe there's some nostalgia there in between.

Also I had to double-check and the first High Tail Hall (Well, High Tail Hall Classic) went without an update for TWELVE YEARS. Just something to keep in mind next time an actual, well, game such as Summertime Saga goes more than a couple of months between updates.
For anyone interested in what an absolute clusterfuck High Tail Hall has been, I recommend reading

The scene kind of got taken over by gays, so became a bit of a restricted audience that created a feedback loop of more and more furfag games.
I do miss the old hetrofur games like toonpimp's stuff, legend of krystal and spin offs, kitrandra clixxposing, etc.

There are no preview images in the notifications. I'm subscribed to the prostitution tag (among others), so I get notified about everything that gets tagged with that. So I gotta click everything to see the images, ya know? This is literally the notification:

Wow never thought I see this game be complete, the last time I played it was still 2009 and at that time the art style looked like Xpray. I'm trying to think of the most memorable furry games I've played in eary 2000's beside this one, Legend of Krystal, there was one other where Donkey wife Dragon was some kind of boss and the game setting was exactly like Castlevania I keep forgetting the name i know it was on Newgrounds. Well a decade later I still haven't really found/played any interesting furry games and so far this one changed a lot.
