Yeah, some of the early night renders are too dark, but the later ones are a bit brighter. Sandra is a plot device for the most part,

To give the story more time to develop the complexity of the relationship between the MC and Haley. Haley's boyfriend is there for the same reason. Sandra is somewhat ideal among the various options in that she has a built-in connection to the siblings and that she allows the narrative to demonstrate how Haley's feelings not only don't require hostility towards other potential partners for the MC, but in fact can be actively supportive of another relationship despite it becoming increasingly clear who she really wants. It's an attempt at realism in a genre where things happen far too quickly. And, though this is speculation, it fits a pattern set by the writer's previous work.
For whatever it's worth, my feelings about Sandra have changed. I didn't really want to date her either, and still don't — she's beautiful, but the personality quirks are a bit much — but by the time we arrive at the current point in the narrative I feel like she's a fundamentally good and nice person who's about to be kicked in the face in a way she didn't do anything to deserve. There are, obviously, ways to soften the blow in the gameplay.

There is, in some alternate universe, a sort of "sweet corruption" game in which the super-uptight Sandra is slowly brought out of her shell through the inexorable power of mind-bending sex...the only logical cure for OCD given the immutable laws of adult gaming. It doesn't start with her as a virgin and it doesn't end in gangbangs or slutification or anything like that (maybe the very occasional threesome, depending on how you play it), it's just about turning a sexually conservative girlfriend into a sexual dynamo while simultaneously convincing her that it's okay to wear clothing more than once. I'm picturing the first sex scene — third date, maybe — as absolutely-no-foreplay intercourse under the covers and in the dark. Proceed from there.
It would look a lot like a Haley-free version of this game, actually (or one in which Haley isn't so obviously the Designated Lust Object). Sandra deserves that game, especially given what this one's probably going to do to her. (Though I wouldn't be all that surprised if there's an MC/Sandra ending.)

0.45 is out for the 5$ patreons and considering the last public release was 0.20 the uploader is a patreon. So, we should be expecting an update pretty soon.

Sandra is a total babe! I would pick her over Lisa from rockstar almost any day as she is much sexier!
