Dude this is not a thread "Pay Az to write" You like anyone else have the full right to write your honest opinion on the game. Its would be nightmare world if I would be obliged to pay people firstly, just to have some delusional privilege to write that their product bad) For example I dont need to go to the cinema and pay to have possibilty say that Disney movies became absolute total shit.
That someone somewhere agree or like something, have absolutely nothing to do with my own(and your own) judging of those same things.
Fair points. But I do try to tread the line between a hostile complaint and constructive...or just objective...criticism.
Like there's this other game. I won't mention it, mainly cuz it's been so long I legit don't remember the name. lol
But it had a very promising sci-fi start and then just went hilariously off the rails halfway through before sprinting to one of the most bizarre, out-of-left-field, dev-is-so-fucking-done-with-this-shit game of thrones endings I've ever had had the bizarre privilege of witnessing.
Like, the actual Game of Thrones ending was marginally better.
Okay, about the same.
No, I take it back. The actual Game of Thrones ending remains the undisputed Muh Queen of craptacular endings.
Anyway, was I disappointed? Fo sho.
But I didn't see the point in piling in on the criticism. He knew what he did. I could feel the shame in his heart from across the void.
I guess I just take a "low expectation" approach to these things. It keeps me from feeling TOO disappointed when the Devs so often fall short. And it's easier to have lowered expectations when you don't invest financially. Sometimes if a rare game is both completed and AND completed in a satisfactory way i'll throw a one-time payment to the Dev's patreon.
But yeah i'd get pretty salty too if I let myself get emotionally or financially invested in a story that fizzled out in the end. So the trick is to do neither. lol
