So while I was out all morning at the local park near me I pretty much wrote a fanfic of where I would like to see this story go to after the game ended:
Long story short, Em decides to stay at the halfway house, not just because the MC is there but because she's not ready to be on her own yet, but it was the MC being there that cemented her choice to be there, especially since the MC wasn't ready to leave either after his six months. Ashley went to her grandfather's, turned into a very successful girl while also making her sister go back to what she was, instead of what she turned into. Luis eventually met someone and moved out to be with her very happily.
Over the course of time, Em and the MC began dating and grew that much closer. They split the chores every day when they weren't working (Em doing the food, the MC doing the laundry, ironing, and finally fixing the bathroom door, and yes he learned how to cook, sometimes cooking meals with Em) so much to the point where Samantha didn't have to lift a finger around the house unless it was really necessary. When either Em or the MC were sick, one would take care of the other and watch over them closely.
Em got promoted at work and the MC learned about cars, earned more money, and responsibility. As time went on, the MC decided to go back to school and wanted to become a counselor like Samantha, so she let him study her old books and she had a connection to a place where if he passed exams, he would be entered into classes (both online and in person). Anyway, to end it all, Samantha put their names on her house and they would eventually take over.
On the MC's one year anniversary, everyone came back, and Luis and Officer Monroe found Julie, who was living only two hours away, scared to contact Em. That night they all met at Sam's house (Ash, Lynn, Eli, Luis, Monroe, Julie) for the anniversary and Julie came in from the car and Em was in tears, initially very angry at the MC for intruding where he shouldn't have and invading her privacy but in the end she loved him more for it.
That night, after dinner, the MC proposed to Em with a ring he bought three weeks prior, they got engaged, lived in the basement, making it up as their own apartment, paid rent, and eventually took over from Samantha because the MC learned how to live and he learned how to love at Turning Point, he matured greatly, and he wanted to pass it on to the next generation of people that came through. Emily though would always call him "idiot" more so now as a term of endearment and love, while the MC would tease Emily, but not as much, only using her full name when he wanted to have a serious conversation with her.
That's how I have it in my mind. It just came to me and I had to write it all down in story form. Probably some of the best stuff I've written in years.
