Would most likely end up like the Captivity clones.
Every single one of them either becoming immediately abandoned, being used as a cow to milk, or in the best case scenario, a cheap copy with barely anything to do.

A damn shame really, the fox guy is really hot, and despite the gross ABDL shit and lack of updates, I think this game had something going for it.
Shame we'll most likely never see it realized, cause much like KoboldKare, that recent FNAF porn game on Steam, and so many other porn games, this promising gem is abandoned and left to rot in an unfinished state for the rest of eternity.

... the space escape and packedrat ones really hurt to remember, i remember space escape before they redid the artstyle to be chibi... honestly preferred the non chibi style. im still in urielman's discord and its kinda funny in a way, the discord died because he got his account hacked and discord deleted the account. i'll at least give him credit though, he's still seemingly working on the chibi edition at least. posting project updates and gifs on his blog, but i think its going to eventually go the way of dirtyc101's project.
on packedrat its because i got to see the trainwreck, they left the project to rot mostly because they got flooded in the comments to add oc 69420 into the game plz every other week which helped kill the motivation to work on it at the right time they were burning out. which is a shame packed was a good game, it had more going for it then the fetish content.
i think a lot of the problem is the subscription funding model paired with too much scope creep. it encourages people to never actually finish the projects so they can chase infinite funding... you're right something has to change as it has become a type of semi organized formulaic scam... almost as bad as the unity asset flip problem.

anyways: i too remember back on like what, page 20-30 i was optimistic about this side scroller, even hoped that pregnancy bad ends would level up into pregnancy content...
oh well. only true geniuses like parasite in city, thornsin, dragon conquerer, goblin conquerer, and the like that can replicate a solid but simple pregnancy content in their game even if some of it was only from monsters or insects/slugs.

Honestly I'm not sure which is worse: blatant, obvious lying when there's really no benefit to it whatsoever, or just disappearing for months at a time. Found a very unique looking game on ci-en recently that the dev has been working on for 12 fucking years; they put out demos early on and have a lot of "preview animations", but in the last 6 years they've posted on their social media maybe 5 times, twice promising demos within the same month that are now overdue by years. I can understand social withdrawal and all, but my god people need to learn to just COMMUNICATE, we're talking 2 minutes to make a post versus the complete loss of trust and bad faith that comes from extended periods of ghosting.
Damn, deep cut. Cannot fathom how many skeletons could you pull up from him and his projects.
Shit, you made me think of how hot it would've been if he'd allow the male player to impregnate a proper futa Entropy without that male weirdo who didn't need to be there.
