It's a bug from the new version, also happens if you lose, luckily keyboard controls works so you can leave from the main menu and start again.
Funny enough, on my Windows ver the saves work just fine with this update. Are you updating from the first 0.3 ea 2 ver? Or one of the ea 2 hotfixes?
Kraken has a 2% chance of spawning in water when you walk thru the water tile.
Also, dev may release a quick patch tomorrow (if possible) to fix these issues (and more)
What other settings are you using? I'm playing on a lot higher than 16x12 and the keyboard keys do nothing for camera in scenes. There's nothing listed as a free cam button if it's not those two. Something does happen when you click mouse 3 (scroll wheel) but it just spazzes out, spins rapidly for a second and goes black / gray. No functioning free camera for scenes on any resolution.

Other than the mouse cursor disappearing any time there is a game over animation (which seems to require a full on game close and open again for me, at least), I did notice a few semi wonky things.
For one, after you've used the bath and the minotaur returns next to the anvil, upgrades never actually decrease your bits/wealth. Although it's fun to just throw upgrades into the moon, this is probably not as intended.
Another one (or two) is fairly interesting: the revive ally ability (that costs hp) extends to summons from the tomes, but they don't always drop a revive token. However, the summon is actually permanent until killed in battle, as opposed to the temporary summon timer as usual. Also, it's a bit of a perfect storm, but if you bless your summon book, you can actually gain two perma summons in this way, or more as they all stack and you have your own team (though juggling space can be tricky).
So: Summon thing. Things gets swatted. Revive thing with health- they follow you just like a merc (unless it's a tentacle).

Also also: you can sell these summon souls to the recycler next to the vending machine. Meaning, depending on how fast the timer is, you can actually use these summons to fund your new exciting crippling soda addiction for calories and muscles.

not 100% but close enough, in-game save is one with 200+ cum meter, never hit new game , only hit load + and save smartly , each run through saves cum meter MAX but not HP and FOOD
My gallery save, it's missing two scenes: bath voyeur (no clue how to get it, or if its even implemented), bookshelf scene (spent 1.5 hr trying to get it and gave up)
the frank recruitment scene is bugged so there is a save load at that scene, and there's a mirror in the previous floor if you want to change appearance

Spoiler for secret areas: There's a hidden area in the very start of the game (walk into the wall opposite of the mirror and record room) and there's a hidden room in the sauna place (before taking a bath, walk into the wall to the right of the minotaur blacksmith, you can get the voyeur scene that way - idk if the layout changes, I've only done it once, try walking into other walls there if it doesn't work).
I've found a bookshelf, but I only got attacked by the book that was already in the previous versions, I didn't get any new scenes.

Shitty image macro edit but by god, an actual game with decent updates in a reasonable timeframe. Fuck yeah.

Are you running Linux? Windows doesn't seem to have this issue.
For reference, I am playing in Fullscreen. Didn't test freecam on this scene but it went fine with no issue. Could need a fresh install?

No I'm on windows. I just replaced the old game with the hotfixed one and if i either use the memory or activate the statue it freezes. And yesterday it worked, even with a new game. I'll try to see what happends to reset the video settings
