If, by any chance, you have time, kindly try DX12 version of the game + VR instead (UGVR does support DX12 too, does it?)
With relatively high chance, the problem will go away.
You might lose some performance - but you'll avoid lingering minor rendering problems like this one.
And v0.4-EA5 seems to be much more performance-friendly than previous versions (judging by its performance on my low-end hardware - obviously, can't check VR with my waffle presser).
Do note that D3D12 version of VR might still soil itself a little due to OpenXR's (used as a base for UGVR) internal difficulties.
Still, bright shiny semen might still be worth it!
