But then why set it in Japan at all? By making such a big point of showing it's set in Japan, but not putting the attempt in to make the characters Japanese, you're drawing attention away from the game itself and instead onto the fact the characters don't look as they should.

Shit, unless I missed something when I played, I don't even think it being in Japan is pertinent to the plot which makes it doubly odd. The Dev could have set the game in Penisland, a beautiful island in the Impressive Girth Ocean on Planet Vulva and people wouldn't even bat an eye.

The way I justify it in my mind is to view it like a DAZ version of anime or Japanese cartoon. The characters (at least the females) in those often have very western features, but Japanese names in a Japan geographical setting. Still odd though, but much like tentacle porn you just have a shrug and go, it is Japan what can you do?.. then wank it.

Good morning Yukana. Okay... I've had my first cup of coffee and I see what you did there with the f_base system. I'll handle it although things like the "score" to "affection" updates will take me a bit of coding on my end to sort and make realtime compatible with the guide and the mod's stats at the same time. Otherwise f_ep05 I reckon I'll treat as event variables since they appear to all be boolean with the exception of ep05summ which is simply used for chapter/episode summary conditionals.

Overall I get it I reckon, we'll see in the next few hours how I handle it all but I'm not freaked out by it by any stretch.

No kidding. The harpy factor was turned up to 11 this chapter. Out of the female characters that had dialogue this chapter, the only one that wasn't a complete unlikeable cunt was Nanami's mom. Even she had an attitude, but the MC deserved it because he was being a prick in that scene.

I'm happy to see I wasn't the only one who felt like the characters in this episode were off. It's like someone broke into the devs house and wrote this episode. It felt like completely new characters with familiar faces. It sucks because I was really enjoying the dynamic between Amber/Elizabeth and the MC but they all seemed weird as fuck and it was a complete turn off.

The MC being a complete asshole to everyone and we got very little input on how we wanted him to behave or talk to others. It was just automatic dick and "STOP FLIRTING WITH ME" The women had two emotions, angry or viciously in heat. What happened?
