This game is one of my favorites and I'm definitely looking for the old one. It feels like there's been one mistake after another for this game. It's been 3 years since the game. It's become hard to define this game, the game seems to be struggling with uncertainty.
I had stopped playing these games for a while. That's why I couldn't follow the process closely, but the AI was a big mistake. I guess the developer realized this mistake. The game is constantly in a renewal phase. The big mistakes made + the dev's constant search for the best caused the game to become inextricable. I don't need to emphasize again and again how big a mistake the AI is for such a good game, I'm sure it's been talked about countless times.
If we compare the current version of the game with the old one, it can be said that the past has become more tidy. I think the scenes that take place in the current time have definitely become worse and more incomplete compared to the old version. We had very good scenes in the old version. Elizabeth's warm kiss, Madison kitchen scene, Amber's great bj and night scenes, MC-Elizabeth wound scene, Elizabeth-Amber pool scene (damn also what happened to Amber's legendary iconic bush??).. These are the ones that come to mind. I couldn't see any of these in the new version, I even checked the game files because I couldn't believe these scenes were cut. Yea, the game is being remade, some of these scenes that I mentioned and forgot may be added in future versions, but most of them seem to have been cut. What a pain.
Yes, the game never promised or gave the impression of a slow burn, but what is this Elizabeth scene? Elizabeth was never an innocent mother, but her mature self was a bit shy towards her son and had the awareness of being a mother. She was someone who cared about family problems. Now, we almost fucked her in the first scene. She didn't give anything but the impression of being a slut. There was a very sweet and warm relationship. As my favorite character, this situation definitely disappointed me.
The dev gave up on the AI decision. I downloaded the old version again and took a quick look at it. I wonder why she didn't continue with the old version with this decision. She chose to ignore the old AI renders and continue on. She may not like the old renders rn (I thought they were great and unique). It would have been much more logical to ignore the old 'bad' renders rather than ignoring the AI. There are many games that have shown great improvement in their renders from the first version to the latest version. There is no difference in the number of content either. I was very happy to see that she gave up on the AI, I thought she would continue on the old game. Unfortunately, that didn't happen.
It was one of the best in terms of ui. The new version also looks very modern and clean. Also R.I.P tombi. It was a nice main menu music for this game. Also, I might be late with some of my comments. I haven't played the previous few versions.
No matter what, I'm happy to know that this game is still going on. I hope this vague confusion ends in the right way and the game continues to move forward.

This update still had the AI upscaling but she had tuned back the depth of the filters considerably compared to previous updates. Said something about "overdoing it" or something. The next update will be applying the non-AI techniques... at least until she changes her mind again.
Well to be fair though creative proces always go through trials and errors. From what I understood gameplay wise remake was needed because she wanted turn game into proper harem game where players can chose whatever LI they want, so she created that love/corruption point system aswell, as MC Paragon/Rouge points
So gameplay changed drasticaly.
As for AI I dont know why she even chose it. It basicaly lock her out from animations. Than again she say she afraid making animations since she isnt good at them. But that whole problem if she want make money from these type of games she should make long term plans, and even plan game after this game finished, for that it mean she need learn all posible skills needed to make these games. I think her fans also not helped her with advices, instead of told her exactly what she need to do to make great game they just suport her blindly without giving proper advices. Which actully more harming her buisness than helping)
I mean hack if they knew AI bad idea why they waited till she finish Episode3?) Should have told her: just keep old Art but use new Rewriten Plot for Remake and New Mechanics.
She basicaly literaly had to keep guesing what her fans want sometime hiting sometime missing.
But seem she finaly got it. Now Dating Mechanic Gameplay should be just polished.
And Art Style also seem finaly calibrated.
Now she can finaly produce steady Updates. Also I hope her fans would tell her not rework previous AI renders to match new Artstyle she would have for new updates, but focus on new Chapters, rework of previous one could be done later.

Nah Despite what some people tell play Remake. It actully beter. All scenes from OG either already included or will be yet included in Remake.

I tried it just in case, caused issues loading the game. So I removed it and it's working fine again.

So... Remake + AI uncanny valley + paid walkthrough + paywall content + unnecessary UI changing + sloppy plot with strange flashbacks = straight example of disaster game.
But damn, what a start was in the beginning!

Another problem of Dev is her lack of comunicating skills. Her Discord is seem dead. Seem she actully replied to me in discord was more like my Luck, since she rarely reply to even her Patrons. Basicaly no one even asked about structure of game she planing. So no one knew for third year of development if MC would pick girls for harem until some random guy like me asked.
Which is hilarious and show what kind comunication level her fans with her had when they cant even ask basic stuf related to game.
Comunication is important to build trust so fans wont start suspected they are scamed.
Good example how dude who made that game My New Memories also cant produce New Content because of problems with German Police, yet he comunicated alot with his fans and they kept their suport despite him not able produce much content.
If she atleast was talking with fans and explaining them what she planing, and why she cant produce content so fast(from what it seem her story prety standart strict asian parents want her get one job yet she rebeled and decided live on her own and now have to work 2 jobs to pay bills, since game isnt as prophitable as she thought it will be).
Now she also perfectionist which basicaly makego nust if something isnt going how she intented to be, so she always ahve irge restart and make it perfect, and when it fail again, she go nuts even more and again restarting it.
And worst is because of lack of comunication seem her fans dont even know if she gona drop game or not.
Funny part is even now she can corect all past mistakes, if she would start deal with this novel and any potential future novels as prober buisness not just some hobby of rebel teen girl.
Now I by the way I get what is this Bipolarity of female characters: It teen girl rage when she have supressed emotions by strict parents.
As for Dev herself she seem young girl, who push her own emotions into all her characters. As she said herself she 90% Nanamy and 10% Antonela. Basicaly Nanamy is what she is in real life and Antonela what she want to be but cant.
And it not actualy bad I think, because in the way her characters based on real life woman so they kinda realistic, which make them more interisting. Because most women in these novels are based on how males wished them to be: obidient and so on.
I think she could have monetize her characters if she basicaly would make proper transformation from real life angry teen girls into typical females male fanatsy girl. And process of taming these "tsundare" girls would something male fans would enjoy.
So that is not bad think, like I said taming crasy girls is fun.
But again lack of comunication make her simply dont understand what her fans want. She completely new to everithing.
She even confessed she had zero idea how make sexual scene originaly. Since she seem wanted make non sexual harem dating sim, but realised there already lots of those so she went for sexual. So she had to play other games to understand how sex work and what is usually going in those novels.
And that was mistake, if I wanted make Otome games for girls I woudl ask fangirls on forum what they like, what archtype of dudes they find atractive and what not, what plot they prefer. ALways gather data from original source: real people, not from secondary.
So instead of asking her fans what they really enjoy she simply guesing and sometime she hit sometime she miss. Some of her new sexual scenes are good like whole Isabela scene, but some of them look weird. Sometime she push sexual content too soon like MC see his mother pissing. Like holy hell wait girl, he barely talked with her and you already pushing water sports. Or sometime it too long like content with his daughter in previous versions of game took forever to even begin.
Good erotic games have balance between sexual content and drama, and build sexul corruption of girls slowly but steady.
Anyway despite all this I would recomend not drop game, but basicaly gather herself together. She clearly have unique art style which would allow her produce not only this game, but alot of such games if she would take it abit more serious.
I would also recomend her work on her comunicating skills since only way sell these games through marketing: engage with fans and promise them Golden Mountains, they would get hyped and would market game for her.
Basicaly she should signal every 5 minute she wont disapear and take game developing serious. So her fans would stay and beleive she would eventually finish game.
I wrought this wall of text because I personaly enjoy game, depspite all it flaws, because it have potential. It have tags I like: Virginity, Harem, Incest, Impregnation,FFM. Those are actully rare and not much of games with those tags at same time.
I just hope dev wont drop game. But instead would finish this game, learn from her mistakes and would make in future games with similiar tags.
But unfortuantly there is risk she may simply drop it all, which would be huge shame, because potential is great.
