I think, after a while of playing VNs, it almost just feels like all the girls are interchangeable and the only the sex stuff matters. I know, when I play VNs, and I've been saying it since I originally came here this past January, that I'm a story guy and not here just for the sex stuff.

The whole damn internet is full of living, breathing people looking for people to show off to and get attention from. I personally don't need sexual gratification from a game, I have a 13-year long monogamous relationship with my girlfriend/long-time partner/unofficial third wife to help with that, and believe me, she does, especially if a certain scene in ANY VN gets me a little too stirred up.

I don't know where I'm going with this post to be honest my friend, I just know me, and how I play them, and how I feel with certain stories or girls within these games, especially this one. I get emotional at times when it comes to Lin and Maria, and for sure Ashley. I know seeing the twins turn around was a big thing for me when it comes to feelings, and as much as I hate it, I thank Runey a lot for the rollercoaster of emotions in this game because of the writing, as it is a VN after all.

I've been playing these games basically since the lockdown started, and I think honestly before that, I'm not entirely sure. I know I bought AL/BaD on 1/3/2020, but was playing certain games (MC, LE, MotH) before that through Steam Unlocked for a while.

Anyway, rambling post aside, point is if I wanted to look at "other sets of eyes" all day, I don't need a game for that, and yes, Kali's blue eyes are amazing. One of my co-workers many years ago had these amazing green eyes and believe me she caught me looking at her more times than I can count in 50 lifetimes.

I think, after a while of playing VNs, it almost just feels like all the girls are interchangeable and the only the sex stuff matters. I know, when I play VNs, and I've been saying it since I originally came here this past January, that I'm a story guy and not here just for the sex stuff.

For me, the characters and story matter, if I just wanted sex, I would go watch porn. The sexy stuff is just what I do when I am waiting for more story. XD

And for the record, the 5th version of the update just went to the testers yesterday, not sure how complete that is.

I agree on the rollercoaster part. My first time through this game, a few months ago at the very beginning of Summer, Maria's detainment screwed me up for over a few hours, but I kept playing it, but it wasn't easy. I haven't had a jolt like that since that fire-related scene in another game.

I was grateful when she was rescued, but not in the manner I was hoping for. It seems that Hana will introduce Maria to her doctor now, but too little, too late. I agree on your viewpoint though. A choice might've been for the best, but since this isn't a standard VN, it had to happen that way for the advancement of the plot. I went through the game yesterday in one sitting beginning to end, and Maria's "arrest" still hit pretty solidly.

well there would have been other ways for her secret to come out that would not have left such a whiplash from the event. hannah could have informed them about her medical problem after all she saw how the mc was treating the others. that one guy that stalked maria could have spread rumors. maria could have gotten injured and they found out that way. the way its done here is basically like hitting a wall at 100kph and just continuing like semi normal after the crash. as i said the option would have been appreciated as this currently forces me to just not play it

To be fair, the clues were there, there were hints being dropped for a while now. Don't get me wrong, it was an emotional scene either way, but it should not really have been a surprise.
Besides, Runey loves to send us on emotional roller-coasters, that is a big part of the fun.

At lest my threshold for this emotional roller-coasters is vampire princess miyu (television series). 26 episode from which I say at least the latest 10 episode shows where the show will end and you end exactly there. It is like driving a car at high speed, seeing the abyss, but neither change the direction nor the speed of the car.

My hardest emotional hit I have from such kind of work. Only other would be the dead of my grandmother and I rather like to don't compare this two. They are two different things in my eyes.

for sure i had picked up on the hints quite early. especially with hannah it was quite easy to spot. just wish it was done differently or you where given an option thats all. as it feels like everything you do to try and help her stay safe is just like did it even happen ? you can tell her no the entire game and it will still happen with the main characters consent

I know a lot of people tried to rationalize it, but either that was one weird dream, or I still maintain that she is racist. XD
She is cute though. Used to have a friend like that, he was a narcoleptic, could fall asleep at the drop of a hat, and he was a little racist too. ;p

Personally I agree with you that Nidra's probably at least a bit racist, even if it seems like it's maybe more motivated by fear stemming from superstitions and rumors than anything else. I also think that, if she ever become more involved as a character, that might be a good thing, as it provides a unique perspective from the other girls, who are all at least a little pro-elf.

I also think that, going by that one time she takes a shot at Kali for working in a bunny suit (in that scene where Kali and Ashley get pizza and get hit on), Nidra would probably be at least a bit bitchy if she were ever more lucid. Which, again, could be a good thing to lean into if she ever gets more of a role in the game, something to round her out a bit and build off of.

I think, I repeat, I think I am ready to watch grave of the fireflies for the second time. that was good. In Runey's place I would feel honored to get my work compared to that gutwrenching masterpiece of a movie.

Right! I looked on my computer every morning to see if she would pop up on the sales site so I can get her back. I hated not knowing what happened to her, grinded my teeth, and didn't even bother with the other girls intill she was back. When she was I had her sleep with me every night for a week, I felt so bad for her...

That question gets asked here constantly.
The answer to it is this. No one has a clue.
The game is in the bug fixing faze right now.
When the bugs are fixed the game will be released, and theoretically, not one second earlier than that.

A running joke on the subject is that every time someone else asks that question, another fairy loses its wings.
At the rate they are losing their wings, they will soon have to resort to jet packs if they want to fly.

A bit of advice.
Read some comments before asking questions, quite often, someone else has already asked that question., or as is the case with that question, a LOT of people have already asked that question.
