What about making your own basic website with a recurring payment button from something like Paypal?

You tell every patron about it and you tell us about it and we swap from giving money to patreon for free and instead giving you the entire pledge without you having to cut off for them? This should not get you in trouble with selling your game as the recurring payment would be for supporting you and not for the actual game as the game is made available for free by you anyway. Would that work?

Well firstly, Paypal really doesn't want to be associated with adult content. Only reason they allow it for Patreon is because Patreon is basically holding them back.

Business wise, Patreon numbers look better. Big numbers must mean a pretty good game.

And lastly, I would need to report all of the money I gain from my own website to the IRS. They way it's done now, is Patreon sends us a 1099-K that details exactly how much we gained in a calendar year.

No, it's Maria's actually, but I can see how you'd think that as I didn't specify who it was.

To reiterate, Maria's stat entry is not unlocked when she joins the hotel. Where her name should be a clickable link, it remains a "???" placeholder, and so her stats page cannot be reached.

Oh, a smaller issue I also found is that the BG music is quite soft even on maximum, but after leaving the bar for the first time, it 'resets' to normal.

Just making a quick update on the issue, I just discovered that after going through Maria's first friendship scene and getting FS lvl 1, her stat entry unlocked, although yeah, if you got that fixed so it does so when she joins the hotel instead, that would be much better and less confusing.

Runey can't you work around this patreon crap and simply put the game up on an actual store like STEAM?

I see House Party is doing incredibly well on Steam! Your game has plenty of content and far less bugs than that game!

To continue supporting yourself you can add new updates as paid DLC! The bigger the update the more it would cost? Your supporters would never refund your game! Please think about it.

Actually, there are games using Koikatsu's assets (An Illusion game) on steam for sale at like $3. But I've been told by fakku that would be a problem.

Even though I linked them to that game on steam, they still didn't really care too much. But I still don't want to risk it.

Story content for the next version is still being worked on.
I'm not sure how much demand there is for a translated version, but it's a possibility.
A gallery isn't on my priority list, I'm not sure how many people would be interested in something like that, but it's not something too hard.

I don't believe I'll be able to sustain myself if not for Patreon. Patreon is just huge. (And very slow at replying apparently)

I wouldn't take it for granted that you'll get a reply at all. I've seen a lot of creators complain about Patreon for that; they send their dictate and just expect you to change things, and don't want to hear that they're made a mistake and there isn't anything in need of change. Hopefully you will, and will be able to get matters resolved without having to make changes, but I would really try to take some of your eggs out of the Patreon basket if at all possible.

P.S. - is this a good or bad time to offer suggestions about the game? Would they be a welcome diversion or would you prefer to wait until this issue is sorted before thinking about things like that?

So what's the current state of things? Is Patreon shutting Runey down? This is like the third time I find something pretty good, and not long after I find out it's under the possibility of getting shafted by Patreon.
