This is spot on. A high school friend of mine was raped at a house party and it completely shattered her life, drove her to hard drugs, made her incapable of experiencing physical intimacy with a man, family members engaged in victim blaming, and law enforcement handled the case inadequately. 10+ years later she's still affected by it on a daily basis. It's a very unpleasant topic, but it's important for people to understand the lingering consequences of sexual assault.

Also some folks on this forum seem to have very shaky understanding of consent and what exactly constitutes rape; terms like "reverse rape", "sleep sex", drugged sex, and blackmail seem to not be considered the same as forcible, violent rape. As far as legality and impact on victim they can be every bit as serious.

Thank you for highlighting the long-term real world consequences of sexual assault, and focusing on the victim's perspective.

What we're saying is that it's not as black and white as you present it to be. Some people who are raped wish they were dead, wish they never went through that experience. For some the psychological effects from rape won't drive you to suicide. You're also focusing way too much on the physical here. Mental scars take a lot longer to heal and come with being tortured. Those who are tortured, depending on the intensity, may never be sane again.

Clearly the two us of have no experience being raped or murdered (unless I misunderstood your comments), yet you insist on coming in here and boldly claim rape isn't as bad a murder, which doesn't add anything to the game's thread, and shows you have a lack of understanding of these topics, because as you said, you've only seen some comments on the internet that formed your opinion, and not from the victims themselves, but friends of those victims.

There are survivors here that you could ask actually. It's not as black and white as you present it to be and depends heavily on the person. But we can't really ask those who took their own lives.

Very much this, we can all agree death is horrible. But I've been horribly depressed before, and I'm not too confident I could say I'm willing to live the rest of my life like that. And this is mostly self inflicted depression from bad memories and such, I could imagine it could be much worse if your source of depression isn't yourself, but something horrible that happened to you, like rape.

Killing someone is one thing, making them suffer for decades with depression or PTSD is another. Some never see sex the same, this is legitimately traumatizing stuff here.

Some may believe life is worth all the pain they're experiencing, some may unfortunately decide otherwise. For someone to be raped, then suffer for years of depression, only to end their own life... that's fucking awful. To me, that is much more tragic than murder.

I'm sorry to anyone reading this who has gone through some of these things, and I'll try to stop entertaining this conversation now.

I was victim to sexual abuse as a child. I can tell you now almost everything you've put so far is true to form, the depression/suffering and imagery never truly goes away, it sticks with you and is like a proverbial rock in your throat when attempting to be intimate with anyone, friends, family or potential lovers. I live by the mantra that suicide is never the answer, it's not failed me yet in my darkest moments, but everyone handles trauma differently. I cannot socialise well with others, trust anyone or form meaningful relationships but on the outside I seem like your everyday functioning adult albeit introverted to all fuck. My story is less of a horror story than others who have been victims but the outcome is still the same - you are never the same person afterwards. Death is quick, living through it is not.

Given the choice though I do choose life and all of the negative experiences I've had to endure to keep going with the positive experiences I've had since. I know a select few who chose suicide over enduring what they suffered - I can't blame them from the experiences shared with me. In my eyes murder and rape are tantamount to the same thing as is repeated domestic abuse.


To break from the sombre mood the topic seems to have taken - I've followed this game avidly for well over a year Runey and it is by far the best thing I've ever played, though Ashleys story really hits the feels man. Well done for all of your work and I look forward to seeing whatever direction you decide to take it.

This save file is using Lain's mod, may not work w/out mod.

I skipped Lin's anal scene awhile back while playing (as i have with every other girl) but now i'm required to train anal up to 10 for the level 23 event, is there any way to still train it since I don't see it as an obvious option in the the sex options nor the dungeon options.

You don't 'have' to do it if you don't want to, it is not required, just recommended for 'best' results.

Have you tried having her sleep with you at night? Maybe try talking to her in her room?

Yeah, I've tried about everything but there is no anal option in the sex options since I turned her down the original time since I'm not exactly into anal, does that mean I'm locked out of the best outcome?

There might be a cheat code, but it won't really change that much, don't worry too much about it. You don't have to win in order to get a good ending there, you just have to put in a good showing, so as long as you do really well in the other stuff, you should be fine.

You will need to remove the number from the front of the file, then copy it into your save folder. I am not 100% on this, but it won't over ride your old if not. I thought I found it, not so sure now...
