No, I can't. Homophobia is a horrible thing and should be publicly called out and shamed. It actually surprises me there's still people with this mentality in 2021, but I suppose war isn't the only thing that never changes (mandatory dated reference).
You can dislike Maria, that's cool. You're well within your right to do so. Hell, she ain't my favorite either. But saying the game would be better if Maria didn't exist strikes me as the equivalent or squatting, spreading your cheeks and dropping a massive deuce on the dev's vision of what he wants the game to be.

I agree with pretty much everything you said, but I think you have the wrong impression of what playing the devil's advocate means.
To be the devil's advocate you have to argue for something that most people usually wouldn't.
In this case it would be for the guy who "hates?" lesbian content.
Which in all it's quite funny I thought most people thought of that as a hot genre regardless of sexual preference.
I don't see a majority of people advocating for hate on others, it's just a few butthurt people mad about literally nothing.

What does homophobia have to do with anything? Nobody is saying that homosexuls are bad or evil or what ever. All the guy is saying is that the events happening aren't coinciding with his romantic or sexual preference. And since this is a game centered around sex and romance with the primary goal being for the player to identify with the main character ones enjoyment of it will indeed depend heavily on if the events unfolding cater to or clash with ones romantic and sexual preferences.
There is nothing wrong with that. Nor is there anything wrong with levying constructive criticism on a product. Doubly so if said product is still in development and actively seeking money from people. When all criticism is shut down by people like you is when projects become echo chambers and things end badly indeed.
Now, that's not to say he is right or that the game should be changed or anything. But he is not wrong to speak his mind.

Than again I am of a wholly different kind my self. I mean, personally if I had my way I could honestly play this game with the sex turned off and loose very little since I genuinely just enjoy the harem plot. The complexities of the individual characters, the romance, their interactions and the way they grow and develop is what keeps me hooked to this game.
Finally, given how you scream phobia, you of all people should know that ones sexual and romantic preferences are not something one can choose or change but something one is born with. So maybe you shouldn't be so quick to judge people just because they were not born on your side of the issue.

i can find reasons for the pineapple on pizza but motion blur? really ? only people i know that use motion blur are those with pc's so weak that it's improving the stability of the game as well as the fps. please explain why you like it as i can't think of a reason for that to be true at the moment.
as for whats been said about maria(backreading) yes to me it also sounds like it was rather homophonic i am in full support of the devs on that one.
