VN - Ren'Py - Harem Hotel [v0.18.2] [Runey]

Well made and enjoyable harem game. Lots of content. The screenshots don't really do it justice in my opinion, and the animations improve things even further.

It's well written and the personal stories actually get pretty good and heartfelt at times. The main problem with the game for me is that in terms of buildup, the game just goes from 1 to 10 immediately and just stays there. MC gets to fuck pretty much everyone within seconds of meeting them so there's no chance for anticipation. Large parts of the game, especially early on, also feels like just cycling through a linear gallery. Adding to that, a lot of the girls follow an almost identical progression where you're almost watching the same content over again, just with a different face or outfit. It felt like this got better toward the later content, though.

TLDR: Well made game but parts of it feel generic or repetitive. Great if you want to get straight to the sex. Maybe less great if believable plot with tension build-up is your thing.

The last time I played was some time ago, and there wasn't much content at the time. Last thing I recall was Autumn moving in and that was basically the end, now is definitely a very different story. He's added so much to all of their stories, It took me damn near 20 hours to finish it all great addition of the ingame timer btw. The visuals are absolutely fantastic I couldn't ask for more, the animations are great it does however kind of skip in to the animations though which is a little wonky. Looking forward to additional content for this game!

Writing definitely gets better over time. It seemed lame at first but later storylines are more interesting than earlier ones. Overall enjoyable, sex is pretty hot. Writing is the strongest point of the game.

UI is annoying, a lot of repetitive content and grinding, even with cheats it's not good. Navigation between rooms is too annoying, nothing like the good systems found in newer games. I used the walkthrough mod and it was still shit, can't imagine how bad the mystery navigation and event finding system would be without the mod.

Sex is too repetitive and procedural as you put different characters into identical scenarios and they mostly react similarly. You're going to be taking all of your girls to the beach and something different happens in maybe 5/20 times you're going there. Same with the cafe, same with the dungeon, same with the sleep with at night. It's good that there's a large quantity of different sex scenes but because they're so repetitive it's hard to feel like I've actually experienced a lot of variety.

I like the honey select art but not the top tier use of them as found in other games.

Man, I never expect to get all teared up from a lewd game.

Plus:

• Simple gameplay
• TONS of content
• Variety of characters. There are elves, robots, fairies, twins, and MILFs!
• The characters have interesting back story and personalities.
• The way characters interact with each other.
• The world building is pretty creative.
• Can be played without walkthrough.

Minus:

• Monster cock. Seriously, though, what the hell.
• Massive tits on some characters.
• Because of the Honey Select engine, all characters look young. Even the MILF looks like 20 year old.
• Some buggy programming. But none of them fatal.
• Some other bits for my nitpicking such as incomplete gallery, not much variety in CCTV scenes, and some mismatch of costumes.

At first I thought this is just a happy go lucky game like HS Tutor or Solvalley school. Well, on first few hours it is, but then the characters stories starts to unfold, and I got hooked. Especially for one particular character whose back story is very sad.

My top 3 characters so far:

• Android. Her character is very interesting. Especially the reason she wore mask.
• The clones (or should I say twins?). You will hate them at first, but then you will sympathize.
• Autumn. She is sexy and her trying to deny her lust is very hot.

I also like the Korean girl. In the game, the MC corrupts her into liking butt spanking. But I found out that the game actually corrupts me into liking that.
My wish for this game:

• More Ellen scenes!
• More elaborate exhibitionism.
• More threesome scenes.
• A window containing character profiles would be good.

Harem Hotel is a story based harem simulator or at least that's the easiest way to put it. It has a pretty interesting story and also has a ton of lewd content. I must say if your looking for something that will entertain you for a while this game will do it.

Plenty of content and events, all the girls are unique in their own way, nice sense of progression with each of them. There is pretty much always something to do. The world is totally a sex focused world (with the way people treat elves/androids) but it manages to be coherent which is nice. Still can't pick the best girl.

Ooooooof...... Runey u r a GOD. And that sentence alone is sufficient to describe my feeling towards this game.

I don't usually give reviews unlike It's an unexpected masterpiece like this game. So here it is,

Characters: as usual the thing I most craved for in a game like this is a character. I don't care whether she's a bitch, toxic or anything else. She's just need to be realistic not a blank slate. And suffice to say every character here has that thing. You'll see a cute devoted maid type elf, a sexy glass girl with slight tsundere attitude, a little yandere, a sexy bisexual girl who's add spice to every one's story, and more.

Graphic and Sex Scenes: Well, it's a porn game after all. Don't u worry it has enough scenes to satisfy everyone. Graphic and renders r top notch.

Story & plot: Didn't expect much of story at the beginning but dude it surprised me at the end. Has backstory for every character you see.

P.S. Dear lord Runey, bless us with some more Ellen scenes, she deserves it. Y'know we have seen enough Lolis and stuffs, just need some milfs to release our volcano now.

Great game with great characters. Each character is unique and develops in different and interesting ways. Yet despite all being different the characters interact and evolve alongside the other characters in the game

Solid game! Blown away by the amount of content, seriously its ALOT more than I expected and was pleasantly surprised by it.
TL;DR: Easily a 9/10 game, the one point loss is mainly because it uses HS render, I don't mind anime style, but HS is a bit ...overused and characters from every game starts to get "similar".

Pros:
Tons of Content, TONS.
Characters have personalities and "feel different".
Doesn't have a convoluted branching story line. (AKA no need for multiple playthroughs to unlock everything)
Easily completable without needing to use a guide, due to the above reason.

Cons:
Honey Select characters
Most scenes are not replayable from Gallery (Real tragedy there really)
Tricky to know if all scenes have been discovered or not (due to above reason)
Not enough scenes with Ellen (Seriously more Ellen please!)

I just finished playing [0.10] and I am amazed by the depth and quality of the game! I had initially tried the game in early 2018, I think maybe within the first month/ week of it showing on f95 and basically had tossed it aside thinking of it as a copy of "Mythic Manor" (Similar style of MC living with a female cast, AKA harem and a world of mystical creatures) and had not checked on it for the last 2 years.

Boy have I ever been so wrong, this game is truly a gem I missed out on just by not checking up on it post the initial impression, (the size of the download didn't help either given my impressions at the time) but it was totally worth every byte! Every character gets their own "arc" and every character than seems like a cliche archetype at the start of the game and when you meet them can truly surprise you with the story! (Even if you hold ctrl to skip 80% of the time like me), the visuals themselves offer enough context and peak interest, where I actually rewinded just to read what was going on.
My only issue with the game is the character style, given that it uses HS character builder, when you have played enough other hentai games and also played HS, the faces start to get pretty....common. But I think this game does a good job to trying to "mask" that fact (pun very much intended) and I feel like it does a decent job at it too. Most of the time it doesn't bother me, but sometimes its like "wait does maria have the same face as X from game Y ...?"
The gallery is deceptively small for how many scenes the game really has, personally I dislike games without a gallery system since I don't want to save scum just to go watch a specific scene I enjoyed. Wish the gallery was extended to accommodate more scenes! Also the completionist me doesn't know if I am done with every scene or not because of this.

Overall impression is again, a solid 9/10, long game, but doesn't feel grindy as it rewards you plenty for your time! Worth the large chunk of download, easily more content(WAY MORE) than most games of larger sizes.
Looking forward to the upcoming releases, definitely keeping an eye on this one.

Androids and Fairies and Elves, Oh My!

TL;DR: 9/10 - PRO: A LOT of content, character background & story! - CON: Anime/Hentai style; Traits like 'cum dump' or 'submissive' are part of the main story lines, no "pure love route" available. (see addendum at the end about edit)

Preliminary note: I played [v0.10] of the game without walkthrough mod.

PROs:
- A unique world setting
- Character backgrounds tied to a good story
- A LOT of content
- Playable without walkthrough


CONs:
- Anime/Hentai style, I'm usually not a big fan of this, especially when some characters seems very young
- MC has a megaphallus, all women are much smaller than him, almost no woman has any kind of body hair, one minor character even perpetuates the lie that no pubic hair is healthier.
- No true "love/affection route" available. A certain degradation is part of the story - and of course all women like that. (see addendum at the end about edit)


I am usually not a big fan of anime/hentai style games, but the good ratings made me at least try it, and I have to say: Worth it! There are enough things to dislike (see CON) about this game, but I am not ashamed to admit, that the story, especially some character background had me tear up twice while playing. I did not expect that kind of immersion and because of this almost all of the CONs are forgiven and I rate it 9/10.

The grinding is not too bad, because you get immediate results (character stats are accessible) and the actions are diverse enough to not be boring.

At one time I hit a wall, when no more events would be available while two character stories were still unfinished. That was because I love Lin. I always came inside of her, never outside, and so she hadn't gained the "cum slut" trait (come on her 10 times). That trait was necessary for the story to advance. Bit of a bummer, but in context not completely unreasonable. (see addendum)

Summary: Androids and Fairies and Elves! OH MY!!

ADDENDUM: The traits are mostly irrelevant for the story. In hindsight I probably just didn't check in with Ellen for too long and coincidentally did so the day after Lin gaining the cum slut trait. Runey (the game's creator) cleared that up in the comments here: > CLICK < Thanks!

This was one of the first honey select games I tried and boy was I blown away with the quality and amount of content. Despite seeing HS everywhere nowadays, this game still shines. 9.5 out of 10. My one complaint is that the gallery misses a ton of the hot scenes. Highly recommend using the Lain's mod (on this and every other game fortunate enough to have his mod support).

It has multiple features and its easy and simple to play.
I would like to see more of the main story and the world that this game is taking place in.

One of the best games with the most content out there and a pretty good division between plot and sexual material. The only downside is that it may not become the sprawling never-ending game it could be if space limitations weren't already haunting the developer.

Quite an enjoyable game. The story is interesting, every character is unique in its own way. I hope to see a lot more content.

you never know what to expect from a game, but this game is well balanced between H scenes, story, interactions with characters. There is always room for improvement, and let's see what the creator has up his sleeves. Keep up the good work.

I forgot to rate the game earlier, overall super enjoyable game right from the start. There is no long introduction and it gets to the action pretty fast which is enjoyable. Everyone so far has an extremely deep background, some are a little darker than others and do catch you by surprise. What I do like is that you don't have to worry about really doing a "wrong" action because you can rewind time to the right choice and the mean things to do the the others there have no negative influence on the game really. I hope that the creator does play with the slave system a little bit more along with things that can be purchased, and especially play with that webcam function because that could be a neat addition. Great game though and several hours of game play and that includes skipping some of the lengthier parts. Honestly for a game still in development I can't think of many negatives; one annoying thing though is when you get farther there's an objective where you have to meet someone at a specific time, but if you accidentally talk to Marie you get stuck that morning going to the movies that you can't turn down making you sometimes miss the time frame with the other girl; like I said, a minor inconvenience at best.

By the time I was most of the way through the story, I simply couldn't see the characters the same way I had before. I honestly started to feel bad about sexing them up.

I wanted to wrap Ashley in a blanket and feed her cookies. I wanted to buy the twins a cat each. I wanted to give Lin comfy clothes and teach her how to play games with Kali.

I didn't expect this level of writing and characterization. Well, WELL above average writing.

Sex scenes are decent, but honestly not that noteworthy, other than the sheer volume. There's a lot to see and do.

Truthfully though, the writing carries it. It takes a little while for it to get going. Surface level, it looks like what it says on the box. You think you're just building a harem with the most cliche stereotypes in the world. But you're wrong, there's a lot more to these girls than you think.

I also like that they all interact well. Their personalities sometimes clash, or one will teach another something new, or they'll just have fun together. Makes everyone feel a bit more alive that you're not the only thing in their lives. The hotel starts to feel like a family (a rampantly incestuous one, ofc) by the end.
