I don't know if this is related, but I remember a post from not too long ago where someone asked what the difference was between a clone and a twin because the distinction didn't seem to be apparent in their native language. A clone is typically defined as someone or something artificially created using the genetic material from some parent source. Twins are just siblings that developed together in the womb and birthed at roughly the same time.

Good news is, you can download the "update-only" file instead of the whole game again when it releases.
What it says is pre release "1" There would be no point in putting the 1 there, unless they knew that there was a chance of a 2 coming along.
Most likely it will be updated when the full release comes out, because Lain would be insane to waste their time working on a mod for a buggy beta release that was not even supposed to be released to the public yet, because of the bugs.
