That fix only works in v0.17.x as a safety measure, in case the issue was fixed in later versions but people tried using it anyway and messed something up.

I can change it to run on 0.18.x as well if you need it, but if you already have access to the console and know how to use it, you can just type bot_friendship = 19 and solve it yourself.

I'm on 18.0 and i set the bot friendship to various levels around 19 and it didn't work. Eventually I just had to skip the Lin scene by setting lin_friendship=27 instead.

Well, then you have broken your game, and will run into more issues later. Changing their levels almost always breaks your save.
