I did now reinstall in new Folder, deleted all my saves and now everything is ok.Yeah, try a clean install, make sure you don't extract to the same folder.
Sh*t happens
Anyway, Thank you for trying to help me!

You should be able to use your saves, though the persistent file sounds bugged.I did now reinstall in new Folder, deleted all my saves and now everything is ok.

YES! This is exactly what I´ve had. It's a bug that can happen when you click the back button in the bottom left corner of the screen and get taken to Residential District regardless of where you were a moment earlier, potentially breaking events. You become unable to use Esc to bring up the menu or make manual saves. The only solution I've found is ending the game and loading a save to a point before the bug happens, then being mindful to always rollback the instant the back button transports you to the Residential District.
I only took a brief look, but the only in game menu prompt that's in the lower left corner that I can find that goes to the residential was if you were in the park. Perhaps there's another, but that was the only one I could spot and it was working properly. Maybe it's being linked to another UI element / scene.I can probably find a way out of that weird game state using console commands, but I've yet to reproduce this on my own saves. I wonder if there is a common factor among you all that we're missing.

Sorry, I'm not in the Discord. I'm just playing through blind for the very first time! Great game so far!Well, if we can figure it out, someone should report it to the bug channel in the discord.
That's the thing, none of my saves have that button there. Starting a fresh one didn't work either. There must be an event, or something done in a specific order, that cause this bug.Go to Your Computer, then click the back arrow in the lower left corner of the screen. You should now be in the Residential District, and your game should now be bugged.
Whatever prevents you from using Esc while looking at Your Computer stays with you and locks you out of Esc from then on, even though you can seemingly wander around. Any event or cutscene with a similar Esc lockout will cause the bug if you use the back arrow at the same time.

Bug fixes, like all of the last part of the update number.err ok I'm confused I have v0.18.1.. what is 0.18.2? if not a newer one?
Lain's Walkthrough Mod, which I was told to get for my first playthrough because it has a few expanded scenes + a scene guide. I just double checked with an unmodded version of the game and the back button does not exist without Lain's Walkthrough Mod installed. So that is the culprit. Are you using a mod or something?
While I really like Lain's WT mod it's not something I'd recommend to use.Lain's Walkthrough Mod, which I was told to get for my first playthrough because it has a few expanded scenes + a scene guide. At least if anyone else reports this issue we know where it comes from, what causes it, and how to solve it.

It was the very next friendship level. All other characters had their stories completed (except Autumn), Lin was the only one that lagged behind that far purely because of the bug that wouldn't cause the scene to trigger. I could still view it again in the replay though.Well, then you have broken your game, and will run into more issues later. Changing their levels almost always breaks your save.
That sounds broken to me, odds are pretty good that things like that will keep happening. Best of luck though. It was the very next friendship level.
