Haven't seen it, so I can't really say if I'd care for her or not. I'm not against crazy in the right story telling context. I'm sure it doesn't help that when I started playing, there were basically only 4 characters and Kali/Maria came out gate swinging hard, personality wise, and Lin is about as balanced proportionally as you could get and has pointy ears and I love me some elves.

And even Maria wasn't there right away. She came in as you played Ashley's story.
Honestly, that was her one redeeming quality to me back then, she introduced us to Maria.

I don't dislike her as violently as TheDevian does, but I also just don't like Ashley. As you say, as you see more of her story, it's easier to understand why she is the way she is, I can feel sorry for her, I can want to help her, but she's easily my least-favorite LI at this point.

Looks don't help. I like petite, but she's past that and well into "childlike." Sure, as Kate surmises, she was malnourished--I don't say it's her fault, just that it doesn't do anything for me. The rape thing doesn't help. The knife thing doesn't help. But the worst of it is her possessiveness, and therefore competitiveness--and it got worse with 0.18's redo of the first-date event. And yeah, I can understand (at least to a degree) why she is that way, but that still doesn't make it attractive.

I want to help her, I want her to get better, and of course I want to save Ren, I want her to realize that she already has the big, extended family she always wanted (she can be aunty to many), I hope Pixel can save her mom, and so on, but I don't want to see her naked. lol

There are characters like that in a few games I play, I just can't enjoy some of their scenes. lol

I want to place her ontop of the hotel with a high powered rifle and some long range artillery with the fairies working as spotters for taking out enemy units before the arrive. Pixel can handle short/medium range combat. Put her anger management, possessive qualities and need to harm things to work. Could even make it a new cliche repeatable sex event - how good is her aim when she's being teased/distracted. I might actually spend time with her and level it up.

The game is compressed, about 10% it's original size. I think there might be a fan made one that crunched it more, but they don't put them on the main page any more. You will need to use search.
It helps to go into your profile settings, and change the search results to organize by date, not relevance.

I've recently downloaded v0.18.2 and gotten several errors about the garden without downloading any beta version. Had to manually fix all of that in my save data. What's the error?

Try not using the mod.

Not sure what you are looking at, but the wiki says...

Night in the room, was the level 14 event, according to that.
You do need to buy the expansion module first.

It really never ceases to amaze me how many people continually use mods and then ask why their saves are broken. It only gets mentioned about 23 times after every. Single. Update. On every. Single. Game.

Thanks, but I fixed it already. In my case, I had to reinitialize the garden, reset the garden_level (that somehow got desynced with the progression so it was essentially softlocked for garden progression) and I modify the items in the save game as it had them without any ID's in the item object.
