You don't want to play a beta it might screw up your saves from 17.2, Just wait until the public version comes out. It probably will be out in the next month or sooner if there aren't any bugs left to shake out.

It literally doesn't matter at this point. v18 can be released today and in two weeks we'll be listening to how long it took isn't justified / content is lacking / whatever. Unless Runey gets back on track with his release schedule, you're screaming into the void. His personal circumstances that lead to this are irrelevant to them.

They already knew about the delay, and posted about it on the 5th of this month.
So, most likely Shadow's post triggered them into making that trolling post.
