I don't know for certain what Runey's up to in development, but based on his last couple dev logs and previous updates, it seems like this is what he's trying to address in the coming updates. And the new weekly event system he's been talking about adding in seemed like it was intended to combat progression seeming a little out of sync by offering a 'recommended' progression of events.
In my experience so far though, the only events that have seemed majorly out of sync with the rest of the story has been Kate's. Everyone else seems to stay fairly well-paced so long as I don't hyper focus on something and neglect something else.
i ran into several with the curent version.
and a tone happened with android such as Android locks herself in the room with existential angist, but keeps showing up in other characters stories and acting like nothing has happened not to mention still appearing in the kitchen. i'm suppose to believe she has locked herself in her room for days possibly weeks, but i can't really buy it when she shows up constantly.
another one was Maria acting like her usual self in autumn's story Right after the hospital stuff. i literally just got off from a moment of her being depressed about losing her identity. to teaseing autumn for being naked in the garden.
also ya all the side story characters are all over the place, but i mostly expected that to not be a main focus.
It's more noticeable with Kate since she's far removed from most the later half of the games story currently, but i wouldn't say so much as it's a continuity thing then it is the fact that she doesn't really do a whole lot in the story so far. (i mean that in comparison to characters like Nina or Hana.)
i love this games story, it has a ton of cool moments, but it feels isolated or disconnected from the other moments. Currently the sandbox nature of the gameplay is more to the narrative's detriment then benefit. especially when you are busy trying to grind up stats or money for a character to unlock certain conversation bonuses for story events. only to accidently continue another characters story without meaning to. (that said this current version does have a lot of improvements to the sandboxing. which I enjoy.)
Lin also does this to a lesser degree. it has some awkwardness when you have android having existential angist, but sure lets go on an island adventure.
Please report the bugs you find. I can't fix them with only a complaint, I need a proper report to address any issues.
sorry i don't mean to complain i'm just really a stickler when it comes to continuity in anything. I'm probably one of the few crazy people that take the time out of their life to watch the monogatari series in chronological order.
I'm not sure if my complaint is bug oriented or just me wishing there were more gating on events so I don't feel like I'm playing the stories in the wrong order. That said it's also a mark on how good the writing is when i care more about story elements then the porn XD. good job on the story, I really like the writing and effort that went into not just the main plot, but world building.
