Hello everyone! This post has been made for all to see, though you must be a $10+ supporter to access the beta build.
By the Seldarine, this update was A LOT of work. Lin's event has technically been years in the making too. I started designing for it in 2021! It is now the largest event in game, taking place over at least five different scenes. Multiple new maps and characters were designed for this event alone, and I plan to add music to it as well in the next build, but I wanted to get this build out as soon as possible. This event changes everything, almost every character is involved in some way. This could be seen as the end of Part 1 of the game's story.
Lin's event took so long to develop, I have to ask, was it worth it? I've increased the quality and effort put into each image over the years that it has slowed down development, and due to this I believe, less patrons have been joining. Maybe I need to release smaller updates more frequently, or maybe the level of detail and work put into these newer events just isn't worth it to most. I know it can suck not getting any content in any given month (especially in this economy) when you as a patron are supporting the development, so let me know what you think.
