if you want to update the game only without deleting all files it's ok but if you already installed Lain mod in the game, the game will crashed. How to fix it is just download updated mod as the same version as the game and install it (you need to replace all mod file in the game folder) and the game fixed.

I had a bug where at some point I could no longer invite Felicity to bed, which meant I could no longer set the twins as a wakeup call nor sleep with both. This was towards the end of the current version, so I had all the interactions unlocked and it didn't fix itself when the version concluded. The twins also no longer show up at college, nor hanging around the hotel.
EDIT: Poor wording... I had changed my original comment without proofreading. The bug is the endgame content not resetting her, not that she gets kidnapped. Thanks.

What's the point of playing the damn game if you don't actually read what the hell's going on?

That's for the other story events, she will appear in those (too hard to do multiple versions to account for that), but she's out of the sandbox stuff

Firstly, this happened like a month ago, and I booted up the game earlier today and remembered her no longer being available for certain tasks. Secondly, the game specifically says that everything will return to normal as if all the girls are still there at the end. She disappeared before this message. Rude. The bug is that she is no longer available for certain interactions AFTER the end of the version, not that she was kidnapped. There are plenty of times in the game in which the girls are unavailable, but it specifically states after the end that any such cases will be reverted as if they never happened, after all, if that weren't the case, Lin would just be gone.

If it was a month ago, that would mean that you played the beta release that was not supposed to be here, because it had known bugs in it.
The current release of the full version 18.0 is now available in the first post, but no save files from the beta can be used in this release.
Because even the saves and the persistant files from the beta are buggy and will cause crashes in the current and future full releases.

Beta or not, she still won't be there post game despite the popup saying the game is resetting to a pre-story check point. In this case, the popup is kinda poorly worded as it implies you're going back to before she left - not just for other story elements.
Either the description isn't entirely accurate or it's a bug. Without Runey to specifically comment which is the case, I have no idea, but I also took the popup's wording to mean she'd still be available and she's clearly in a 50/50 state.

I just checked to make sure, and I do have the current version and I never ported over any old saves, but I appreciate the helpful input.
I think my poor wording in my original post about this being a possible bug led to the people claiming I couldn't read. I didn't mean to imply her original disappearance was a bug (as most girls have a similar absence from the hotel), but rather I intended to highlight the post-game content. Thank you for understanding.
Another bug I noticed today was that Emma can be found masturbating in the hall (after fully exhibitionist) when she is meant to be at college. I think there is a possibility of these being connected.
I didn't read everything, but if you played the beta at all, you will need to delete both of the persistent files, and load any non-beta save.

To my knowledge, I have no data from the beta. Someone suggested I might have, but on this computer I have only ever downloaded the most current version.
