Well, I would be surprised if Ash's body could handle one kid. My sister lost her first two and she is not even as small as Ashley, but her small size made it dangerous.

Of course, I am also waiting on her to realize that she already has the large family that she desires.

i'd say tmi and most likely the doctor care so she doesn't feel like her value as a woman is lowered by the loss as nowaday even "dwarves" don't have that much more difficulty giving birth (mostly compared to a couple decade ago but a win is a win)
also lore is dark enough to drop miscarriage and other similar heavy topic -_- and if i was to look at them with a sad reality filter, jin would be the most likely to have risky pregnancy (just her drugs are a big factor, but sexual abuse, violence, plan b, abortion and polution make it unlikely for her to give birth and even less probable to give birth to a healthy child, hundreds of years of rape, gang bang and drugs aren't exactly better starting point than a petite frame :S)

can't do much about it there was many comment above :S (seem i didn't get my though across or did it with added rudeness but there was no agression or insult meant to be read from my comment ... :S)
edit re reading myself i'm not too where i lost you if it's a value it's the societal value that mostly see women as actually a woman if she can give birth (just like a dude shouting blank would be looked down upon i guess)
if it's about the dwarves that could sound like a strange exemple, couple years ago doctor realised that most difficulty they had to get pregnant and safely carry the child was due to the hormone they were given because they were "sick of smallness" (which also gave they risk of so many other medical complication it's hard to joke about it)
if it's the part about the game characters just to be sure i was comparing jin to ashley not any real person :X

Jin was not on "drugs", they were hormones. While they are some similarities, in that they were addictive and have withdrawal symptoms, dark elf hormones are not going to make it harder to get/be pregnant, if anything it should make it easier (though, in her case, I assume she was also on birth control, a drug that WOULD affect it).

In the interest of information, standard birth control pills are also hormones.

Drugs are defined by their use - they're substances (other than food) used to affect how a body functions.

Hormones are a class of chemicals that are used by organisms to regulate their own functions.

When my balls create testosterone, that's not a drug, but if I get injected with additional testosterone, that would be a drug.

Jin's hormone pills were a specific type of drug.

Yeah, I mean, technically even sugar could be a drug, but I don't see hormone treatments being the same as smoking naki (not that I have any issue with that either), which is what they seemed to be implying.
Sadly, our society has gotten to the point where the term 'drugs' implies only illegal drug use, and they ignore all of the drugs they take from caffeine and aspirin, to antibiotics and atorvastatin.

have you ever spoke to an actual dwarf ? i didn't make some extenssive reserch but the one i was friend with clearly literaly told me that "calling a dwarf a small person is diminutive and being diminutive with a dwarf was harrassement" ... (kinda liked his joke but i'm pretty sure it was his genuine thought) aslo kinda sure that jin in realist setting with her bacstory of hundred of years of slavery would most likely not be able to carry a child from conception to childbirth because she was damaged by abuse just to pick one part of her story and say she was the favorite sound kinda dumb as she was also a sex relief hole for factory worker and it didn't sound like high class service but more like continuous use ... not too sure what sound judgemental iin what i say as it read as fact with couple of joke :S
