Can someone give me a rundown of where we are in the story? Have we emancipated the elves yet? Have androids taken over the planet?

Wow those are a lot of changes since I last played.
I mean, I've downloaded it a time or two but it's
been a long while since I actually played. lol

My poor sweet loving Lin has turned into a rebel leader....
I'd not heard of Stoneface or Cornwall's brother... lol
Sounds like the MC is still kind of a dummy... lol
I hadn't even played the twin kidnap part that a friend
was telling me about... So I was Way behind...

Cheers All

can anyone tell me...is my save from 18.1 or older ver gonna work with 19.1.....or do i need to start fresh....?
Should work fine. The only variance is if your 18.1 save originated with a beta copy, then you might have some inherent bugs from the beta. If you are going from official release -> official release there shouldn't be any issues. If you used the walk through mod, make sure it's installed and updated before loading the save.

Looks good. How big is harem?
Weird kinda answer, as the harem as a whole has an "open" mind on what the MC is allowed to do. There are 8 main harem members plus a number of side characters that the MC sleeps with. The difference is primary in that a harem member has plot and the side character doesn't. Plot meaning = "more than just a side story". They are involved in the over arching plot of the game. Either way, the MC is getting laid.

Maria and Moon for the most part push the other girls to be "open-minded" in what the MC is allowed to do. This currently has had zero push-back and works.

At least 1 harem member isn't technically part of the harem. The technicality is based entirely on sex. She knows the MC is messing around with other girls. She wants a husband + family. She's not sure if being in a harem is bad. She's not sure sexual relations outside of wedlock is bad. She's currently the most "corruptible" member of the harem. We're still working that magic.

edit: I'm drunk and surfing F95. Hopefully I'm coherent enough for this response to be accurate.

Long and incomplete. And at the rate it's going, it'll be quite some time until it's done, too.
It's a great game nonetheless, but you've got a long wait if you want to read from the start of the story to the end.

I can't help but wonder if all of these stories were planned by Runey since the beginning.
According to Runey, that's a big ol' nope. He claims that he just sorta shotguns the story with each release with no planned arcs. The story just sorta writes itself as it unfolds, or so he says on Itch.

As a guy that makes his way in the world in a creative field, I'm not sure I agree with that. Granted, I have seen some amazing stuff materialize out of thin air...but Maria's storyline? Pixel's deep thoughts about existentialism? Ashley's disturbing weirdness and how that's going to fold back into the main storyline?

He's been surfing the crest for a lot longer than most can manage it.

I'm not sure that I buy Runey's story about the story, but it sure is a helluva story. I've been lucky enough to see a few people surf the crest of genius for a short while. The stuff that Runey is laying down, for as long as he's been laying it down...it's a bit freakish.

Hey, who is sub on Patreon? Is there any ETA for 0.20? Before NY or January?
Don't take this answer as a dickish response, it's the same answer that everyone gets. The next release will release when the next release is ready to be released.

There is no schedule for Harem Hotel releases. Runey releases updates when he's finished with a release. If we get two releases in a single calendar year, it has been a very good year.

Runey's typical release schedule looks like this: He publishes a release, then there's a flurry of activity while he types out loud about new ideas, then he catches nose cancer and disappears for a couple months, then he surfaces, says things are starting, at which point he disappears for a while, then he surfaces to announce that he has contracted bubonic plague of the pinky toe for a couple months, then a bunch of stuff happens, then the betas start releasing...and a year later we get a release.

The releases are amazing, so we gladly put up with his bullshit. But he isn't so amazing that we don't mock him ruthlessly. Sure, it's an unhealthy relationship, but that doesn't mean it isn't a relationship.

Doing creative stuff is hard and I'll happily take 87% of a massive Harem Hotel update per year over two, three, or four 5min updates from most games each year.

I just dread the day he's laid low by the dreaded finger tip cancer. Then we're fucked.
