Can we get the pre-compressed version? I already think the game looks like a blurry mess.
It doesn't as long as it isn't compressed further than Runey already compresses it.
But that is a problem. Not everyone has uber fast internet with a stable connection. Sometimes an ISP is disrupted and it goes down to a slower speed for some reason. Right now I looking at our normally 25 mbs being kicked in the head down to 7 mbs. So I am looking at a 3h+ download time and this ISP is not stable enough for that. The idea of a patch file where you download just the changes is a wonderful idea and I wish it was done more often (we don't have one to go to 0.13...yet).
Also the fact that there was a ~2.0 GB compressed version for 0.12.4 that looked reasonable shows the claim "Further compression makes this game look like a blurry mess." to be total BS.
The patch idea is good on paper, but in practice, it just doesn't work with a game like this one. Also, you're forgetting the risks that come with those super compressed versions. What Runey is saying is that his official versions are already as compressed as they can be without having problems ranging from looking bad to outright crashing. And, no, it is not BS. That's how image compression works. The more you compress an image, the worse it starts to look and it becomes noticeable after a point. A point that is different for everyone with Runey being able to see the compression sooner than most of the rest of us.
oh dear lord its 7 gigs. any chance someone can come up with a patch only download? no clue if that's even possible but that'd cut down on download time by a lot

You're right, I just want to punish people with slow internet because I don't like them for some arbitrary reason. I guess I'm just a bigot towards slow internet users, sorry. I definitely don't have experience in this, or have actually been doing this for three years until v0.12 for android users. But go ahead, download that build that 'isn't a blurry mess'. Enjoy.
It's possible for me to upload the image file, but the scripts are a messy issue. As far as I'm aware, replacing or merging scripts breaks the game. Not sure how to get around that. I would love to be able to upload a separate patch because I understand the pain of slow download speeds. I was paying $75 for 300KB/s only 5 years ago. But it's likely to cause more issues than it fixes, including broken saves.
There are a few ways you can get around the mega limit, surprised more people don't know this.
You can use a free browser VPN or download the mega app, which doesn't have a restriction.

You can store ~16,815,532 well compressed images in that much space (webp high quality, 1080p).
Does this game have around 16 million pictures, or does the dev need to learn about compression???

The former, the game is already compressed down by 10x its size. The uncompressed game is around 70-80GB according to Runey.

Nope, there are no laws in that regard about clones since clones aren't actually a thing that can happen to that degree right now. It's at a basic level at best.

Use Joiplay on the Windows version, it is too big to be made into an APK.
The uncompressed size is not manageable with those filehosters.
Not even close, not for free, anyway. We're talking 70GB minimum for uncompressed. What we get here is already compressed, even the 7GB one.
It might be time to consider adding "update" files to the download lines. it is now 7GB, that is a lot to make people re download the whole file when they already have most of the files on their computer.
Update files can be done, but like compression, this game is at its limit already with that ability. The update files MIGHT work or they MIGHT break your copy entirely.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this game, my only real issue is its gotten out of hand how you dont offer an update only patch for people to download. 7gb DL now, and I have most of that downloaded already on previous version. Maybe game like ToN have just spoiled me with this option.

This is a big disappointment. Honestly, I expected more.
I think the idea of adding a bunch of new characters is not very good. A new location has also been added, which is absolutely pointless, because we already have so many locations that are idle and are very poorly used.
There are many unfinished storylines that are not completed in a logical place, but simply because.....
The plot becomes very difficult to follow due to the heap of characters and the long breaks between updates. It also does not improve this by the fact that after loading the save from version 12, some quests were rolled back and confusion began.
And there are too many characters that don't develop in any way.
There are also some bugs.
The nastiest is that it is impossible to dress Autumn in a purchased outfit (there is no menu, although the outfit is purchased)
But despite everything, I still love this game and hope for its further development (Kate, Felicity and Emma are the best girl!)
A LOT of what you listed are symptoms of the game still being in development. These things are going to happen on occasion.
By the way, everyone, I am looking into the possibility of releasing patches in a much easier way. This would probably only work on PC, but since Android uses the PC version, it will probably be possible on Android too, if you have the tech skills necessary.
Hopefully I will have this out alongside v0.13.1 tomorrow.
IF this works, the Android users could also patch on their PC and then move it to Android. That is, assuming they even have a PC to begin with. Some just prefer Android and do have a PC.
