Oh great catch! Thank you! I've added that to my fix list!Ok, solid teaser for the game. I've found this mistake. I'm also not quite a fan of the textbox and especially of the portraits. I find it distracting to have the character on screen and another picture with a completely deadpan expression. I think the differing text colors make who is speaking clear enough.
I think the concept of having a female protagonist be a corruptor is unique enough for me to follow the development. However, so far she didn't strike me as particularly manipulative. It would be nice for her to be more active in controlling how others perceive her. For now she's just kind of normal.
I'm going to be totally honest, I kept if very vague in the beginning so I could get to the open world part. Because all of my UI/Maps/Time of day/Corruption and Affinity Variables, all those systems didn't "kick in" until you got to the first "Navigation" section. So I kept it pretty vague in the beginning to get us to that point. Day two really kicks off all of the festivities. But I completely agree with what you're saying. And there's a good chance I'll go back one day and "bulk up the intro".
I'm going to do a poll about the Textbox "Character Portraits" because I sort of feel the same as you. I thought they'd be helpful but you may be right.
