Just got done playing the latest update and all I will say is this AVN is a goddam masterpiece Himiko's storyline was so heartbreaking but also so good I really think that this AVN is way too underrated and definitely deserves way more popularity!

Some of these characters are just so brilliantly written that I often times forget that I am playing a AVN and not a normal story game like Life is Strange or others similar to it this is by far one of the best AVN of all time period I don't care what anybody says I will die on that hill and one last thing can we give a round of applause to the dev for telling Hannah's story through a song that was both so beautiful and cool at the same time instead of just dumping a bunch of text for the player to read.

The 2 doctors are studying the mc's blood so maybe the accident actually affected her more than just giving her a penis and there is something in her blood that can save her. Other than that it seems like there isn't really any hope for himiko.
If she dies, I think I will just stop playing. I can deal with the sad backstories, but if you start actually killing of love interests, that is too much. The game just stops being enjoyable.

I don't know if she is popular enough that, half of the player base would just stop playing, but yea having one of the love interests dying is probably something that most of the players don't really want. I just hope the dev lightens up things in future updates. Like I said in previous posts, I think the writing is great, but I also think the game is becoming emotionally too heavy.

In my previous comment I was both making a joke and being serious. It would be plausible that Jane and Marianne, being the absolute geniuses that they are, found the cure for cancer in the form of semen/blood, and now Jane has that cure. It's already stated that her cum has higher chances of getting someone pregnant. Himiko has been a virgin this whole time, then suddenly she starts feeling better after she did her thing with Jane. Wouldn't even feel like the dev made her survive just cause we wanted it to happen. If she actually dies then that's the dev's choice. Yeah it would suck but we'd have to deal with it. Killing off live interests isn't necessarily bad, it's always a good plot twist and makes the story more dynamic. My only issue with doing that is when we are given no chance of saving said love interest. The dev could make it so that she dies if we ignore her, but if we put the effort in then we should be able to save her, otherwise it just feels like the entire point was watching us suffer.

Yeah im not in the loop either but all im saying is there is already an example of what many would consider a "life changing event" and it has the same importance (in story) as any other random hangout that leads to sex

and as others have said there is a huge difference between stuff like drama/story needing conflicts etc (even something as serious as raping your best friend) and a character literally dying...even ignoring how anyone feels about the character in particular what about people in the future? All they need to do is look up their name (or use walkthrough, or talk to someone who has played up to that point, or noticed that she has less fan art/sigs/whatever) to know that she dies.....and are you really going to use time (in game and irl) to see scenes or care about someone who dies a considerable amount before the game ends? Then some (not half lol) will leave because someone they liked died, with even more leaving because
AN LI DYING (STAYING DEAD) WITHOUT PLAYER INPUT HAS NEVER WORKED IN AN AVN (debatable if you consider someone dying in the prologue as the crux of the story)

Majority of devs try to avoid stuff like that because it's not really something that players seem to enjoy. Hopefully that will not be the case because the love interest in question is actually my favorite girl in the game.

To be honest, yes I would invest that time myself. I'm someone who loves to find out what kind of person was, what lead to their death, if there is imo a valid enough reason why we couldn't save them and how the aftermath will be.

An AVN is for me no different than any other genre, and we know how infamous Final Fantasy is for killing playable characters off (especially the older entries), including some love interests and we still invest time in those games. We also still invest time in movies where we know at least 1 main character will die.

But great... it seems ep 5 will be an extreme downer then, because in ep 1-4 I can't think of any moment (except Lisa's situation) that I would say is depressing. Even the "best friend rape" after the transformation didn't end up as depressing, seeing how much she loved it.

I would honestly prefer if she dies there's no way for us to save her. I don't want the guilt however small of killing her even though she doesn't crack my top 10 love interests in the game.

You besides the lisa stuff, you had the stories with both the MC's and Marianne's dads that was really sad. But this update there is a very sad vibe during the whole episode. I won't spoil it since you haven't played it but besides himiko you learn more about another girl and it's really depressing as well.
