You didn't read the change log that explicitly says that the only ending available for now is the bad pink end.

Oh, but I DID read it. Maybe I should've worded it differently. Ya see, on any paths where the one ending is available, that ending will show up. But, on the paths where that ending doesn't happen, there should be some sort of place marker, or something that states the ending isn't implemented yet, or something of that nature.
I saw at that one scene where it gives 4 choices, and 3 have a line through them, but it isn't quite obvious that the only reason they're marked out is that those endings simply were not completed yet. It makes it very easy for someone to assume they just didn't make the right choices to have those choices available.
But, I'll assume your assumption was based from your own misunderstanding of my inquiry.

You don't automatically start as a male or female. You have the choice to start as male or female, THEN you have choices that decide whether you change again or not. ...meaning....if you choose to start as a woman, then you choose to play Sparkle as a woman, there is no change.

Did Davie's initial plans to incorporate pregnancy get completely written off? I remember forever ago he'd seemingly temporarily removed a scene related to it but I just now noticed the thread's no longer tagged for it so I assume that's not gonna happen at all?

Also, unrelated - I haven't played this since shortly after it got starting-gender options - is there much content exclusive to one gender or the other? Or mostly just text variants?

Roopah was the focus of several months of content but then was sidelined. I will be returning to her side of the story in the near future. Her major character arc takes place in Port Town and Humblehooch (in the original outline) so when I go to build those sections of the story out there will be a lot of Roopah content.

I'm not sure about the status of pregnancy(hopefully it does come), but about the tag itself: I can say for sure that according to F95 rules, thread tags MUST reflect content that is already present in the game. Not what is planned in the future. If a dev does want to make a mention, he is free to make a separate section in the main post putting a disclaimer and adding the future tags there. But not in the tags accompanying the thread title itself.

I had forgotten that bit! Thanks for reminding me. But, if memory serves, I think I made a different choice there so my MC never went through that. Still, I'm not entirely sure it qualifies for the tag. At least not in the implied sense of the pregnancy tag as nothing sexual happens that leads to the bun in the oven

I will wait for a couple more updates because I feel at some point the story began to be less fleshed out compared to the beginning. I've read the patreon post about the development plan, so I know why that is. But I have to say that I still have fond memories of this VN even months after playing it. Can't wait to return.

Technically, yes. IRL he/she is. Also you get changed into a different being in-game so that counts as well more or less.

Its quite the complex story with many different outcomes based on your choices. Very rich in story telling and very clever story writing. I recommend the updated walkthru at the devs website posted in the OP. Not the one labeled "walkthru", that one is not udpated, but rather the actual link to devs "website".

Probably because the game barely leans into the virginity aspect in a sexual way. It's just one of the character traits that really has no kink woven around it. In-fact the MC is shown more like an average being with no popular sexual magnetism in real life. Hence being the involuntary celibate. Something that changes 180 degree drastically when he/she is assigned the Healslut class in-game.

I don't think you can even select the correct answer to that question unless you figure it out in-game, so you gotta keep playing. I don't remember exactly what you need to do to trigger it, but you need to find out on your own basically.
