Simple! Take what he writes... Add 3 months... And expect him to invent a reason to add another 3 months before he releases the update.
I think he is taking a break right now, as he mentioned in the last progress report, so that he can pick up the pace when holiday season comes in December. Also, like he previously mentioned, he doesn't like sharing progress reports when not much work has been done. His work style seems to consist of short sprints, rather than consistent marathon.
