I don't believe the cracked 6.9.1 works - default sends me to auth screen, and when I tried to copy over the crack DLL from the prior stable version it simply crashes the game. Any help would be appreciated.

it does work. the previous post with the crack says you have to hit authenticate when you open the game.

I've made a lapse in my judgement in terms of what version I was originally searching for
