used server drives are cheap lol. paid 60$ shipped for 4 4tb drives, under 30$ for the interface card. I'm gonna prob have it set up with redundancy, 2 for storage and 2 as a mirror
I know this is a pretty old comment but did you find a fix for these stutters?? I'm going insane. Anyone with Amd gpus having weird graphical jitters???Anybody having some weird graphical glitches? tryin to figure out if its a prob with the game or my system bein fucky cause of the overclock/undervolt. get random flashes on screen, like graphical corruption, occasionally and lag spikes.
Delete all rgb software and after 0 stutters believe meI know this is a pretty old comment but did you find a fix for these stutters?? I'm going insane. Anyone with Amd gpus having weird graphical jitters???

Damn, sounds fancy, and expensive. Good luck with your server stuff16tb worth of SAS drives with interface board and a 64gb SSD
Great, much appreciatedyeah i can prob upload those sometime soonish.
Glad i'm not the only one who noticed a downfall in quality. Don't get me wrong, I love the new things added with every milestone update but I feel not only is the cast getting overcrowded but also the different positions i.e. vore (protogens should have tech internals), footjobs etc. I feel like their fans would be ok with a patch update instead of just adding new content every month and not addresing any bugs (Elera Hotel comes to mind).def feels like the game is a hydra, squash one bug and 2 more take its place lol. i think the issue is they're prioritizing new assets and features with the milestone releases to keep their patrons happy and dont have enough time to do adequate bugfixing, optimization and backend work between milestone updates. seems to be taking a back seat. there are a lot of little things they could do to improve the user experience but background changes arent attention grabbing and they dont want to start shedding patrons because that dopamine drip of new content slows down.
+1 to the menu thing, with an addendum: the way they're doin it now seems to be it spawns in a fixed position globally when you press the menu button and its static in that position. there are 2 problems with this. #1 is what you mentioned, player moves and the menu stays sat right where it was and doesnt face the player. i get there can be situations where you want the menu to stay put but you could at least set it up to flip sides at the same coordinates based on the players coordinates. issue #2, that position is fixed in space horizontal, vertical and facing angle. they can leave it fixed in the horzontal/rotational axis but vertical axis NEEDS to be tied to players vertical position because esp when using scaling, if the player is on the body of one of the NPCs and there is any vertial movement (breathing, fucking, etc) the menus become unusable because the players POV is moving but the menu is static.
also agree with it being crowded or sorta non intuitive. needs to be a button to despawn duo/trio animations without having to despawn them individually. needs to be a more accessable way to control animation speed/climax without having to navigate to it in the main menu. maybe a toggle on the radial menu to make a floating control box for the animations or something. I could sit here all day and brainstorm things i'd like to see, i just dont have the time or energy to learn enough of unity to be able to do any of it myself between my job and all of my other projects
having been playing with unity a bit lately i get how fuckin complicated this shit is, so i cant complain that much, but I feel like they would do well to hire at least one other dev with a lot of unity experience to do backend work. things like improving the physics/collision, UI, npc posing, and general bugfixing and optimization. i genuinely like the game and think it has the potential to be a lot more than just a glorified animation viewer with a kinda janky custom pose feature.
[Disclaimer: I just want to let some steam off with this so please don't think I see myself in having any legitimate right to complain as a pirate and actually demand things. I know game development is hard and I am still actually thankful for this game. I just hope it will be better in the future.]Glad i'm not the only one who noticed a downfall in quality. not too bad all things considered, all used parts plus a few things i already owned and i'll be in it under 250$ total after shiipping and taxes. could have done it even cheaper if i wasnt as picky about parts selection.Damn, sounds fancy, and expensive. Good luck with your server stuff
I'm trying to remember if they have had or do have a public roadmap like a trello or something, because now that i think about it i cant really criticize the direction of the game when I dont know what it is, or if they do for that matter. i wouldnt mind knowing what the developers actually want the game to be in the longer term. ado they want to make it more of an interactive, immersive and dynamic thing, or just make it an even more feature filled animation viewer and scene posing thing with occasional dialog? whenever i'm in a better financial position i'll probably actually sub on patreon because i do like what they have so far even if i'm frustrated by it sometimes and wish it was more than it is. eventually i hope to have more time to put into learning modeling and unity shit so i can actually try to either add or fix the things i want in heat, or make my own[Disclaimer: I just want to let some steam off with this so please don't think I see myself in having any legitimate right to complain as a pirate and actually demand things. I agree. The biggest problem with the game are the annoying increasing amount of bugs and clunky and glitchy animations / transitions and overall interactions that start to break immersion heavily.
A personal critique from me is that I don't like the direction of the voice acting they are going with and I find some dialogue not to be fitting at all.
The most present example, since the introduction of the new voice of Garret is: WHY THE FUCK is he complaining in 3-4 different voice lines when you move him around? I would generally prefer an option to turn off any reaction to moving limbs for positioning from the characters. [I guess this is also a matter of taste...For me it just feels "demotivating"]
Another weird one is that when you have three characters Garrets voice lines are broken and he only moves the lips and only looks like he is speaking but only two of them actually play the audio.
Since version 6.3.x or 6.4.x the feature that keeps "safe distance" between interacting characters for preventing them to clip into each other you have an even more annoying problem that e.g. when letting one giving another character a BJ that they push the other model away so they only have the tip in their muzzle, almost slipping out. In this case I prefer them clipping into the other model and rather see this as digging into the fluffy fur...
For me the last "good" version is 6.0.2. It has the least amount of bugs and immersion breaking because of "features".
(Rather funny: Riley still wonders what the warderobe contains...but there is none in the new apartment room.)
(Also Funny: Like Garret I also wonder when the sheets have been changed the last time. )
make sure you drag and drop the DLL_FOLDER into the assets folder after you paste the dlls in.Hey, I'm trying to follow the Modding Guide because I want to start modding on the game a bit, but I can't even load the unity project properly, each time I try it tells me that they are compilation errors. I'm pretty sure I correctly copied the right files as said in the Getting Started section, so I don't know why I got those errors. Am I missing dependencies of some sort ?
Here are the kind of errors I got :

I did that, both with and without the .meta files that are in the original DLL_FOLDER.make sure you drag and drop the DLL_FOLDER into the assets folder after you paste the dlls in.
you using the right version of unity? has to be version 2021.3.21.f1. and not sure which ones but the modding guide does mention some warnings at the start that you can ignore, not sure if they're different from the ones you're getting tho, havent messed with it in a whileI did that, both with and without the .meta files that are in the original DLL_FOLDER.
Yes I'm using the right version of Unity, I got compilation errors, not only warnings I can ignore. I posted a screenshot of the errors I got in the first message, they seem to come from file that are already in the modding kit so... yeah I really don't understand what's causing them. Litterally every errors are "that thing doesn't contain this definition"you using the right version of unity? has to be version 2021.3.21.f1. and not sure which ones but the modding guide does mention some warnings at the start that you can ignore, not sure if they're different from the ones you're getting tho, havent messed with it in a while
it could be that the dlls are from a version of the game that is either too old or too new compared to the version of the modding project youre using. The modding project in the google drive may be out of date to the latest dlls. Either way, those editor scripts that are erroring are all related to character modding. If you aren’t making a character mod, it is likely safe to delete them.Yes I'm using the right version of Unity, I got compilation errors, not only warnings I can ignore.
