I think people just judge the game too early and quickly, it is just chapter 1. A promising and good start, Dev has a good record before, they are enough for me to look forwards to future updates.
The developer's other game is an average game for me. The biggest reason for this is that it is polly, not harem. I continued the other game because it had solo paths.
Now there are no solo paths in this game. Will the game force me into a polly type relationship? Because in the other game the only way to get more than one girl was polly.

Will most or all LIs be gay? Will I be able to reject gay LIs and make a harem of straight ones to avoid Polly?
In the other game you could avoid the gay female content and in return you had to play the solo path. How will the system be in this game? In fact, if the developer answers a few questions, everyone will relax, people who are interested in the game will stay here, people who don't like it will leave and so on.

probably chosen in part to combat the ntr crowd. but having been to a few bikini bars it feels normal to me just dont think of it as a strip club
yeah it's mostly cause of the image I have makes it feel weird because of TV and movies + with this being an AVN expected it haha. but I do get it's cause of the NTR crowd still was hoping for at least topless doesn't need to be nude haha but then again anything sets those guys off

Very, very good start.
Hopefully there's a Steam release in the not too distant future.
Was mentioned in Discord that you won't need to wait long for Steam. They are waiting for Steam store page right now, and expect build approval will take a week after that. Will release on itch.io the same day as Steam.

still and odd decision could of changed the rules a bit cause it's a game or picked a different state. Don't need to be 100% realistic with laws It just feels weird imo
I definitely agree that things don't have to be 100% realistic, any creative work can bend the truth a little to get a point across or tell a story better. Whether something works or sticks out like a sore thumb is another matter, and obviously partly down to the audience.
As for this game, I don't mind the lack of nudity at all, in fact I think actually seeing the girls naked later one will have more meaning because then they are no longer just doing their job, but actually choosing to get out of their clothes.

that's good to know cause I have a new rule im trying to follow only buy games on steam when an update launches haha. So I will wait for the next update to do so if it's out by then

Yeah honestly I usually don't care about the lack of nudity tbh just the setting is what makes it weird for me because of the image I have in my head thanks to tv and movies. Even if it wasn't the main LI just background non lewdable characters would of been enough for me haha

I feel much the same. I really like spoilers, personally. They take the story from the negative emotion of "Oh God, what's about to happen? Who's going to live or die? Can they make it?" And turn it into the much more positive emotion of, "How is that going to happen?" And the reveal of "No way, that's how he ends up there?" So, especially anytime a story has a sad end, I'd rather know ahead of time myself, so I can be prepared for it. I know a lot of people may not agree and that's fine.

It's like you said, that's why we rewatch and reread stories. I've watched Star Gate and Deep Space Nine several times each. I make it a point to watch the full extended editions of Lord of the Rings at least once a year.
I do usually try and avoid spoilers for first reads/watches, but that's so I can have those two(+) different experiences, the first time, and the experienced time.

'You can't step into the same river twice,' type of thing.

No.

No.

Yes.

While Slockie is technically correct that there are no "solo" paths in the game, in reality it's more of a "there's no devoted solo paths that force you to make choices about staying with that single character." You can actually go solo with any one of the LIs in the game if that's what you'd like.

As for bisexual girls, while there are a few in the game, most of the LIs this time around are heterosexual. I believe only four of the currently planned LIs are bi or bi-curious. Might be five, I'm not 100% sure on that and would have to check our settings bible to make sure. (I have a shit memory, which is half the reason we have a bible in the first place.)

I really wanted to like this first chapter, but unfortunately the premise is so unbelievably ridiculous that it completely ruins your immersion. You go to a strip club three times in three weeks, and the girls are already swooning over you, giving out their names, giving lap dances for free, sitting with you rather than doing their job, divulging personal details about their lives, inviting you out to dinner, and willing to go on dates with you. And on top of this the MC is both dying of cancer as well as superhuman, with irresitable charms, rugged good looks, and incredible fighting skills. What a joke.

The whole thing is so absurd that you can't invest yourself in the game at all. Because all you are thinking about is how the characters are completely unrealistic and the plot so outlandish that you can't relate to it for one second. But then I guess I am simply not the target audience, and that the game strives to appeal to those that want a harem and live out a fantasy where they are the epitome of peak human performance, unable to do no wrong and get everything they want by snapping their fingers. For them, this will be a masterpiece. For the rest of us, not so much.

Firstly, I want to see nudity too, but not seeing it doesn't hurt anything here, especially because there's a valid reason. I think a lot of the issue here is people seeing "stripper" and immediately applying their own perception of that, which may be vastly more common, but is not exclusive.

Secondly, to my thoughts. Visually, both in terms of renders and girls, this is very high quality. Story and gameplay-wise it's a pretty slow start. This might be a problem for me usually, but Slockie and Storm have a ton of credit in the bank from BW, and there is enough here added to that to make it absolutely worth continuing. I'm definitely intrigued by a few elements I've seen so far, but I think looking at this opening, it's maybe going to take a chapter or two to get me fully drawn in to any story aspect.

"He's also a Doctor." Said in a very New York aunt manner.

Most fiction, outside of some literature, is focused on extraordinary people in extraordinary circumstances. So I can suspend my disbelief, even though you aren't wrong. They strain credulity, but are possible.

As I said, that doesn't really bother me, what I'm curious about is what happens the other 6.5 days of the week. We know he drives past Heaven's Door (HD) twice on Thursdays, going somewhere, and coming back. But even after a few weeks of making connections there, he doesn't visit any other day. He drinks at home/the hotel. We have some clues about his background, but his day to day life outside of those Thursday evenings are blank. I hope that mystery is filled in as quickly as his personal one was (within a chapter). Or at least one a chapter, if we can't get most of them next update.

Regarding the start pacing, it's my understanding that HD will be a longer story than BW, so that there's more time for the story and relationships to breath. So it makes sense to me that it'll take a bit longer to fully kick off.

Edit: For example, we still haven't met all the LIs yet.

Exotic dancer might be more accurate. Not that many layers have been stripped.

So I tried this even tho I don't like trying new releases... and it was okay I guess.

It did feel rushed tho... visually it was very repetitive and kinda flat (and the fight at the end in the parking lot was just bad, sorry to say), but it's just the start so we'll see how it does later, I'm sure it'll improve (and that's why I don't like checking out new releases u_u).

Oh, also: I'm sooooooo fuckin over the constant cameos and references in all these games by the same group of dev buddies... holy shit people, get over yourselves already!

if you pay attention to conversations, then you will know why he has indecrible fighting skills.

about him being irresistible. He is not typical to this genre pathetic scared wimp who sweating stuttering and go full panic mode when he sees a girl. He know how to approach them and make causal conversation. It's normal that girls want to be around man like him + he is a total hunk, one of the best male models in this genre, that's for sure. I don't see anything strange here

It's much more realistic than another teenager soyboy get all girls. Where in reality, most of the girls will show something like him a middle finger
