The 0.2 official builds have been made and we're just looking at any lingering problems that slipped through the cracks. If all goes well, official release should be in less than 24 hours, people.

To the best of my knowledge, it's a one-time purchase on Itch or Steam. I have not heard anything about seasons. I can say that the current development target is somewhere between 12-15 chapters.
It's also worth noting that I don't really speak for AlterWorlds in any official capacity. I'm involved because I'm bootiful.
It's Chapter 2 out of a planned 12-15, so there isn't going to be much branching yet (though there is already some pretty significant branching in Chapter 2 based on choices in both Ch 1 and 2). The game also doesn't flood you with a bunch of minor, insignificant choices that just add a +1 to some variable; the choices that are there can mostly be expected to have some type of direct impact, I suspect.
They've also stated that if you don't pursue a LI, they won't just drop off the face of the earth like some did in Bare Witness and some other harem AVNS. In most cases they will likely just be a friend instead. So I suspect we'll have a good bit of dialogue and narrative consistency due to that.
As for endings, there's three primary endings currently planned and each of those may have multiple variants based on choices throughout the story.

.Last night, at around 3 am (my local time), Steam told me that it would be released in "about an hour". Today, it simply says "Coming Soon" without being available and with no release date.

Well if they said there were three endings that kinda gives it away. One of them might be MC dies - but it would be weird if there were three different deaths. But really, this doesn't seem like the kind of game that's going to need a sequel, so as long as the ending makes for a good story, I'm allright either way.
