Ren(py sucks, confirmed. I like VN that let me do that. Most boxes hide too much but I can't do nothing. The text is hard to read for me without a background of some kind

There are scripts that you can just drop in the game folder that will adjust the opacity to your preference. I'm sure there are a few flying about the forum.

These files are incredibly easy to use, you copy a file into the game directory and play the game (no settings to change), then to remove it, you just delete the file.

Easier than a slider in the options menu? That another file to download separate from the game. It's annoying. Not a huge deal or anything. Just inconvenient.

Just hit the 'H' key and the text box hides completely. Any other key tap/click brings it back.

I think middle click works for most if not all ren'py games. As if I use the keyboards when I play those games LOL

I might be a minority here, but I think the box might be a little overkill. Like it's taking too much of the talkbox space on the side and pulls us out of the image. It's not a strong feeling whatsoever, but this shows I'm not always saying amen to all your ideas. I'd need to be on my knees to do that. naughty_notty.png

Well someone did make a transparency box mod for Renpy that should work on most Renpy games without any further work, think it was penfoldmole or something like that. A no underwear mod might be slightly more work except for Sarah of course, we know she tends to forget hers by accident or on purpose.
And I say again... I am fucking remastering the shit out of this game!
I just need to whomp the slider on the pref menu and get the new character boxes to overlay. Took all afternoon but.....*aims to please*

For the character boxes I figure I should be add them to the side easily enough so they don't go transparent when you use the slider.
