I think you all are wrong about troll's motivations. They don't really hate the game or the developer, not even its fanbase. What they really crave are precisely all these pages of discussions fueled by their annoying messages. They get their dopamine fix with each notification received and have their fun by amping up their game just to see how far they'll be able to drag you into the cesspool. The game, the delays, are just their initial excuse, a kick-off sign for their enjoyment. That's why 'don't feed the troll' has been a thing since forever. Replying to them only makes you look like their necessary counterpart, and it's really tiring for the rest of us. So just report it and press ignore - and then don't fall for the urge to click on 'show ignored content' ever again.

I used to use ignore, but then I just left threads that were full of ignored messages. So now I don't engage unless it's funny, off course.

To be honest, I feel a little sorry for them, but they need professional help, not empathy.

A hater hates on things for the attention, a troll stirs shit for the LOLs. I should know, I'm a troll, elsewhere I stir shit for lels. Haters need attention, why? Who knows, tonnes of different reasons, as many different reasons as there are haters, maybe their rap career flopped, maybe their micropeen is tiny, maybe Daddy never hugged them enough, maybe their seventh birthday was forgotten, maybe Rainbow Dash never wrote them back, who knows.

So now I don't engage unless it's funny, off course.
