Finally finished the game and overall it wasn't too shabby. The models were great and the story was kinda interesting - no real ups and downs in my opinion, but a steady stream, but the end was a bit weird.
Was there any point to the eclipse and the fire? Did I miss something so I didn't get any one on one ending with any of the girls or does the game just not have a specific endings?

I'm afraid the "specific ending" were just very specific. The burnt down third cabin found no real explanation (only presumption) and this hullaballoo about Stacy's weird "fire religion" and this huge midnight sun (eclipse) remained (at least to me) a huge mystery. Obviously the dev lost finally the interest in his own story and wanted .... hush, hush, hush ... finish it rapidly before there would be an "abandoned tag" on it. But may be he just left a back door open to carry on with the story when he got time, money and pleasure. 
Who knows.
Who knows.how exactly do I activate the mod? Or is the "mod" the pdf file that you see inside the game...?

The mod is in the settings/options, you will see it somewhere in there with all the other ones. And gallery unlock is there when you open the gallery.
The walkthrough option that I see on the menu only deactivates or activates the walkthrough button on the menu; that is a PDF file. Are you referring to that one? Because I will not put that as "mod".

Huh? Why would a walkthrough be 20GB/5GB? It has the WT in the name as it's included with it, it is the full game.

They are "market" builds, they will not work natively on Mac without some extra work on your part.
You can build a simple Mac distributionn yourself in a few minutes with the SDK.
If not, you will have to do some stuff with Gatekeeper and permission fixing.
